This is a very nice solid aluminum mount. I have hooked up my camera to it and the fit was great. I definitely won’t have to worry if this mount will be strong enough or fail. Great product!!

It's a piece of machined aluminum that dies exactly what it was designed for.

Works perfect with my GoPro.

These mounts are great if you don't need to ensure that the camera doesn't move. The two openings on the mount are 3.22 - 3.25 mm wide. The mounting parts of the GoPro are 3.0 mm wide. While .22 mm doesn't seem like much, the aluminum is so sturdy you cannot squeeze it together enough to hold the camera in place. Very little force is needed to adjust the camera even when tightened with a screwdriver.For reference, the plastic mount of the same type from GoPro is 3.0 mm at the base and 2.8 mm at the top. It is flexible enough to allow the mounting tabs to insert and then the screw will tighten and lock the camera in place.If you're just mounting a GoPro to a tripod and it will be sitting in one place, this is a great adapter. If you're placing the camera on a moving vehicle for instance, this will allow it to move from the intended aiming point.

This finger mount is machined from billet aluminum and the locking handle fits perfectly. I use this with a hand grip and magnet to hold my GoPro onto farm equipment and machinery that is featured on my YouTube channel, @Applied OCD. Would definitely buy more of these!

It's debatable whether there is much value between using an aluminum adapter when the part it connects to is plastic, but whenever I'm given the choice, I'll generally pick metal. There is one big benefit of aluminum over plastic, and that is the actual tripod mount portion - I've actually had one of the GoPro ones fail on me where it broke at the 1/4"-20 insert portion as opposed to the actual GoPro adapter portion. Once other advantage is that the threaded screw is actually integrated into the mount, and doesn't have a cap at the end so you don't need to worry about screw length or what happened to the nut.I've actually ordered a couple of different metal tripod mounts over the years, and in general, I found them to be a bit harder to work with than the plastic ones - primarily because in order to get it to really grip the GoPro tightly (so it doesn't tip up or down), you REALLY had to crank it down. With the plastic ones, the plastic easily bends when you tighten the screw/nut, but many of the metal ones tend to get a bit overzealous on the thickness of their two end parts. Thankfully this one was the first that I found that still had the perceived strength of metal, but also was thin enough at the ends to not require you to crank it until it's ready to strip.Not really much more that I think can be said about it - it hold the GoPro well, has held up the last couple months without any signs of wear, and wasn't much more expensive than the plastic ones, so all in all a good buy.

Smatree Contacted me and inquire about my tripod mount and the trouble I was having with it. After answering a couple questions, Smatree Send me a replacement mount without any problems. This new mount works great quality is what I was expecting, the customer service Went above and beyond to help me out.purchase this a couple of weeks ago, as a mount for my GoPro. Does it work? Yes. Does it work well? No. The measurements appear to be off on the interlocking mount for the GoPro case. This necessitates a constant fight to install it, remove it or adjust. The mount works for its purpose but I would not purchase it or recommend it at this time.

This is the first Smatree product I have purchased. This mount is quality! I would have no problem purchasing other Smatter products and plan to buy more GoPro related items. All threads are tapped nicely and have no burs and everything threads in smoothly which is hard to say for other mounts on the market today. It has a nice even finish and is available in multiple colors. Anyone with a GoPro should buy this mount. It has worked great on all of my tripods or anything with a 1/4-20 thread. The mount is very sturdy unlike the GoPro brand tripod mount. Already I can tell this thing is made to last. This is just one of those products you don't know you need till you have it. I will update this review after a month or so of use and report back with how it is holding up.

Muy práctico para tus trípodes y de buena calidadel aluminio solamente tienes que apretar mucho el tornillo con de terminados accesorios de la gopro por ser de aluminio pero funciona ala perfección

Muy sólido, de aluminio, encaja Perfecto en las Gopro y sobre todo funciona perfecto para la Gopro Max porque la rosca 1/4 y las patitas quedan justo al centro, eso hace que se produzca el efecto de desaparecer el bastón sin problema.

En el primer uso la rosca para el tornillo de apriete se barrio por lo que quedó inutilizable. La pieza, como es de aluminio, es muy rigida y no aprieta lo suficiente para mantener la camara fija, demasiado cara para lo que es y muy barata como para perder el tiempo en su devolución

Esta pieza se ha convertido en una de las mejores compras para mi set de GOPRO FUSION, Muy recomendable su relación calidad/precio!
