Nice tool to have. Nice flat, smooth crimp

Not bad value, but just use a Knipex Pliers Wrench if all you need is the crimp action
If you are looking for a combination cutter/stripper/crimper then this kit is a decently priced, and the quality is good enough for occasional use. Though if you just need a crimping tool for IDC, then a Knipex Pliers Wrench actually does a pretty great job of that. It's more expensive, but a hell of a lot more versatile, and maybe you own one already.

I used this to repair broken doorbell wire. Just make sure to crimp at the front flat area and all will be well.
