Perfectly wonderful, sturdy arbor
This arbor is heavy, sturdy, and very attractive. My husband found that it went together easily -- except for a bit of confusion about how to attach the gate. He succeeded in properly installing it on his second try. It has formed a beautiful entrance to our neighbor's yard from our yard, replacing a hopelessly deteriorated wooden gate. What an improvement! I can't wait to plant climbing roses to cover the arbor. We are both extremely pleased with this product. It definitely exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

Very happy with this sturdy garden arch.
Really happy with this beautiful and sturdy garden arch. The gates are wide and gives me plenty room to go through with my wheelbarrow. It was easy to assemble and was able to do it on my own with no extra hands. Despite what others have said, mine did come with instructions. The parts weren't labeled, so I had to rely on the instruction plan, but it was easy to figure out. I did have a few spare screws and bolts with mine. I read carefully others reviews before ordering it, and followed their recommendations when assembling it. Particularly about the gates. To make sure the gates close properly, install them before you set the arch in the ground and lock them. I used ties to keep them from shifting while transporting my arch to its final place. Make sure you level the arch when putting it into the ground. Then when all it done, untie your gates and you won't have any issues. Another great tip was to wait until the arch was completely assembled before tightening all the screws and bolts. It's really beautiful, sturdy, and easy to assemble. Can't wait for my clematis to climb it. This is my 3rd arch in the garden, and it's my favorite. Love the size, width, the gates, and its elegance.

really gorgeous for a wedding!
I'm a florist here in San Diego and I bought this arch for some weddings this year. I read every single question posted about this and posted my own. It took about an hour to assemble by myself, from complete start (from front door in box) to finish (including trash clean up). Some parts were a little tricky to fit together but a touch of WD40 and I was set. It wasn't designed to be taken apart and reassembled all the time, but for my purposes, I have it split into four easy to manage pieces, which all fit in the back of my Nissan Rogue with plenty of room to spare. It's a gorgeous piece and I have received many compliments on it. It takes me under five minutes to put the four pieces back together at any given wedding site. OH, and I set it up once on concrete, once on grass. For the purposes of a wedding ceremony, both were just fine! I purposely bought a heavier piece like this and when I used it on concrete, it was at a very windy venue. It never even rattled. It stayed perfectly upright the whole time even though the legs don't have straight/flat bottoms; they are more compacted like the end of a crunched paper towel tube. And on grass, same thing. No problem in either place! I just set it on top and that was that.Such a cool option to offer to clients who do not want some white lattice thing from 1986. Customer service was excellent too. One thing to watch is that the iron can scratch so just be mindful of that. But even if it does, it's really not any big deal. Thank you for such a quality piece!

Heavy, well constructed, and easy to assemble.
The large heavy package arrived today. It is heavy, the mail lady made a special trip to deliver this in the back of her truck and i walked it to the backyard. It was packed securely, with cardboard between the parts, and plastic ties to keep everything together. There are no written instructions, just a list of hardware, and three well done pictures to show the assembly. Assembly took about an hour and change. If you are not handy you will probably need help. I did it myself, but I have experience in assembling things like this. There are two things you need to pay attention to; make sure you position the outer panels so the scroll work is close to the visible side of the panel, and assemble the sections separately and then move it to the final location before doing the final assembly. It is heavy and cumbersome to move around once assembled. we did not have a level area, so it takes some jockeying around to get the gates to align properly when they are closed. I am also adding a magnet to secure the doors open when necessary. Its an attractive garden arbor, well made, at a reasonable price.

Completely repaint with Rustoleum before installing and repaint again on an annual basis
Good looking easy to assemble but paint job was subpar and the steel used is very prone to rusting completely away. Bought this arbor just 3 years ago and much of the steel at the bottom of the gates and the footings is already gone. Installed in an out of the way place on our property and didn't check on it until it was too late to save. Recommend repainting before installing and must be installed with no ground contact and good drainage. Also suggest drilling drain holes in any pieces that might hold water such as horizontal bars. that seems to have been the major issue with the bottom railing of the gates.
