Worth it!
I've been wearing these shoes for 3 years now, and they're still nice and sturdy. The treads are slightly worn down, but still have much more grip than any other shoe I've had as long. They are excellent in the snow, and on ice. I periodically oil or wax the leather to keep them waterproof. The leather has broken in nicely, and I love how they look now. The inside has held up nicely, with only a slight deformation where my big toes rub against the upper-side with every step, but they show abolutely no outward sign of this. If you want a quality product that is durable, waterproof, comfortable, and (I personally think) rather good looking, you can't go wrong with these Rockports.

First impressions: Feels like a solid, quality shoe. Happy buyer.
These are the first Rockports I've ever purchased. I ordered size 8.5 W. I haven't broken them in yet, but my first impression is that these feel durable, fairly comfortable, and that they look good. The stitching appears to be high quality and while the outer material seems susceptible to creasing lines, it's not very noticeable unless you are holding these under direct light. Out of direct light, their color is pretty dark. I wanted a shoe I could wear comfortably outdoors in wet conditions or while working on a home renovation project. It seems like these are built for those kinds of environments. They say "slip-resistant" on the bottom, and they have a "Hydro-Shield Waterproof" badge and sewn-in patch. Note that these are made in China (that is written on the inside of the shoe's tongue). Also note that the shoe can look darker or lighter depending on the lighting. See my pictures for examples.

Awesome shoe with a somewhat short lifespan
I owned several pairs of these shoes, and I would own many more if they were still in production. They were extremely comfortable and the waterproofing was greatly appreciated. The laces always broke quickly, but replacement laces would outlive the shoe. The lifespan of the shoe was limited by the tread wearing down quickly directly into the subsole. I don't necessarily mind that, since these shoes were comparatively cheap, but it does create landfill fodder. If these were still made, I would be ordering a pair today.

A solid shoe
It's been a rainy winter so far here in SoCal and I decided I'd finally get some waterproof shoes to wear to work. I chose these because they work well with khakis as well as jeans and looked sturdy in the pictures. I've been really pleased with them. They are very stable and comfortable, and don't make my feet overly warm (something that I was concerned about with waterproof shoes). They do seem to resist water pretty well, at least well enough for my purposes. They look very nice and ruggedly professional. Best of all they fit just right (the size 9 medium fits my size 9 medium feet) and the insole can be removed so I can wear them with my Superfeet insoles. The soles feel supportive but also comfortable for walking. I like them so much that I wear them on dry days as well as rainy days. I can't speak to durability since I have only worn them for a few weeks but they look solidly constructed. I am glad I bought these and I will definitely be trying more Rockport styles in the future.

Time will tell & so will I.
The material is definitely leather. No question. The fit is actually a bit large. I'm typically a 11.5w (even with my other Rockports), and with these I believe I could have dropped down to an 11w. The area that rubs the ankle may get to be a bit irritating, I will advise if it is as such. They look good and seem To be well made. They appear to be quite durable , with a solid feel while walking, very stable. There were some minor marks on the leather and the sole, but I believe that was from transport. Price point was about right for quality leather footwear. Will these hold up? Time will tell and SO WILL I!! I will be back to update anything less than spectacular performance, which is what I have come to expect from Rockport.

Glued Heel Separated
I’ve worn these shoes only occasionally over the past five months, and the heel has already separated from the upper. The adhesive clearly failed, and since the heel is glued rather than stitched, this is a critical failure.

Good shoe but tight
I wear a size 13 and the shoe seems to be accurate in the length. But I ordered a wide and even the wide seems to be really tight in the width. I would say the wide I ordered is about the same as the width of a normal shoe not listed as wide. The quality of the shoe is good and the length of the shoe is good but not happy with the width. One update is that the sole is separating after about a year. Likely could be glued easily.

Rugged and keeps my feet dry in ice
Winter and snow champion. This guy has got me through the rough cold of North eastern US. It keeps my feet dry, and I've had this for months now. One warning though: yesterday I slipped on ice wearing it. The soles are still rugged and didn't wear off, so my guess is that when the ground is icy, not even a good grip can save you. I should add that the dangerous "smoothness" on the ice did not begin the moment I started walking. The sole gradually took on ice that made it loose grip. I'm just guessing as to the reason though.
