I needed this set for a small art project I had. I mainly got it because it had the best price. I am impressed with the quality of the set. It comes with large right triangles (set squares) and a triangular scale. All 3 pieces are of high quality. The set squares are thick, and hard to break. They are 30-60 and 45 degree triangles. The 30-60 one is graduated 11"x6" and the 45-90 one is graduated 8"x8". There is a protractor in the middle of 45-90 triangle which is pretty cool. The scale is also very sturdy. It will not break. It seems like the prints on it are permanent. It's an architectural scale and it's in imperial units. Over all I am very happy with this product and I recommend it to others also.

I was surprised by the usefulness of this inexpensive set of ruling and measuring tools, for the price. When I worked in graphics, pre-computers, the 30/60 and 45 set squares were quite expensive, but they were the best available. Now that I have returned to live drawing, I needed to round out my new kit with far-less-expensive tools, but ones with which I can get studio drawing-quality results. My only concern with these tools was whether or not they would have ruling edges, meaning indents along the ruling edge so the ink in my pens do not bleed by capillary action. The 30/60 and 45 set squares have edges which taper gradually, so if you simply turn the square over, it presents a cavity along the edges, which work perfectly as a ruling edge. The three-sided drafting scale ruler cannot be used for ink ruling, but you have two tools for that already. I absolutely love the French curve cutout in the 30/60 set square, plus the protractor cutout in the 45 set squares. One note: the French curves and protractor cannot be used for ruling, but unless you are doing production graphics old school, you don’t need it. Personally, I love drawing such curves freehand, with just a light pencil rule as a guide. If this intimidates you, I guarantee that taking that first step will build your confidence. Even if you need to practice, freehand inking French and other curves will become a healthy addiction. To sum up, I am able to get professional results with a fairly inexpensive ruling toolkit. I love that 2 other tools have been incorporated, so 2 tools do the work of 4. I see no drawbacks, and the lack of ruling edges on the curves and protractor are more of a wish list kind of thing from a 35-years professional knowledge of advanced production graphics.

Nice quality set. I’m away from home and I needed to order these tools. They’re very well made and arrived in more than adequate packaging. Outstanding value.
