SWM Amplifier for DIRECTV

All of the other satellites had signal in the high 90's. The detached apartment's (the longest run) signal was in the 60's. The amplifier brought the signal strength into the 90's and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Great product... Great result....

After 30 days, it failed. And I had to pay the cable guy to come out and tell me this failed.

Nothing wrong with the product but make sure it's the one you need. Threw away the box etc before finding out I have a 21 volt satellite SWM and this only puts out 12-18 volts. My mistake. Did not do enough research before ordering.

This did at least partially solve my problem with insufficient signal strength for my DirecTV system. Both of my receivers now have enough signal to work, but the onscreen guide still does not function in one room. The amplifier is a bit pricey and obviously needs a plug-in to operate but if you need an amplifier, this should do the trick.The problem is that I received NO HELP AT ALL from DirecTV in reference to this problem. As an amateur, I was basically just guessing as to the problem based on my limited knowledge of wiring and general troubleshooting. Even though the title says DirecTV, you should realize that you're buying from a third party.

Amplifies. Instructions leave things to your imagination by ultimately there only a few ways you can hook it up and it etiher works or it doesn't. It worked for me.

Works Great. Cable length is 2 time 50 ft plus. Put it in the middle, and the cable powered the amp.

Works perfectly, Directv told me the second location for my system was too far, and wouldn't get signal (about 100'). Works fine with this....
