Good muffler
This is a great drum muffler as it dampens without killing the sound. I guess that's why it's a wall sound dampener, but works in the bass drum.

Just the right amount of muffling! I just logged in to order more for my other drum sets!
Full disclosure: I have a stoopid amount of drum sets. And I like to tune them so that each one has a distinctly unique sound from one another. I bought these to try on two of my sets, & see how I like them. Well, I LOVE them. They proved to be way more versatile than I expected. They don't simply change the sound of the drum, more like fine tune, EQ & dial in the drum's existing tone. Controls the resonance just the right amount, without just creating a dull thud like stuffing a pillow in there. I'm not going to use them on every one of my drum sets, but I'm going to use them on way more than I expected. Two drumsets have them now, I'm about to put them in 4 more! Two thumbs up with a drum stick in each hand!

This does a great job at getting rid of the annoying kick booming and gives you a much more controlled thump. Its takes a minute to get it, but just order and wait. Its worth it.

May be the best bass damper out there.
After a lot of research on bass dampers, I tried this foam damper. Although made and shipped from Ukraine, it is absolutely the highest quality foam with no odor, and recovered from compressed shipping almost instantly. It dampens my 20' Yamaha Custom Absolute without destroying the fundamental bass tone as some dampers do. It is also good looking and quite light weight. It doesn't require taping or any damage to the interior of the drum, and when fitted so a slight pressure is on both the batter and resonant head, the net result is a good low bass tone which is not over damped. Measure with precision, cut with a pair of scissors and forget it.

Shipping took forever as it came from Ukraine. Just foam. No adhesive or velcro or tape.
