We love this! One of the best purchases to upgrade our pool. Keeps our pool clean and the size it perfect for our 6000 gallon pool size. Does get hot during day but ours is sitting in direct sunlight all day long. We keep it going probably 20 hours a day and it has worked perfect. No problems at all. Filled with sand and has been going since. Has lots of options on it which helps keep water clean. Instructions are super easy and install was quick. Doesn’t disappoint. Just get it. Makes it super easy and powerful.

I recommend this sand filter for pools used by adults, and not really if you have a bunch of kids running around. Strong suction, powerful pressure, clean water, no chemicals (although we use a oyster-shell to get that Kid Rock cool-as-a-swimming pool look). It's really great. But you need to be mindful to not turn it on when it's in the Closed position, make sure that the valves are on, etc. because the manual expressly states that running it in the Closed position for a long time can risk explosion. As I was getting accustomed to the settings, I put the timer on 12 hours. When it turned off automatically, I turned it to the Closed position for the night. I went out the next day around noon, and it had been running for hours. You see, the timer runs for 12 (or whichever hours you select), turns off, and then turns back on again automatically. Happily, there was no explosion, no damage, just a bit of adrenaline. The setting that works for us is FP = Full Pump. We turn it on in the morning (it runs through two sets of our Above Ground Solar Panel Heaters), and then turn it off when the sun stops hitting the panels. We then put it in the Closed position and close the valves. We also use a Intex cover to keep the warmth in (evaporation is the leading cause of overnight cooling). I am now very mindful to open the valves and put it into the Filter position before turning it on. Set up, not too big a deal, takes a bit of time, less than 45 minutes. Be sure to get the right sand and enough of it, like two bags of 50 lb should be enough, although you'll most likely use 75 lb and have some left over. Don't use playground sand, only the micron size specific to this type of filter. All sand is not created equally. I would gauge the level of maturity that your kids and their friends have before getting this machine. If someone thought it would be a good idea to move it by the handle, it would definitely break. If the kids take to climbing on it, or switching the handle around inadvertently, you're potentially going to have some serious problems. Otherwise, this is a good machine that'll help you to save on the costs of filters, chemicals, time getting the balance right, etc.

Works great. I bought this pump for my 18x46 above ground pool. I replaced the original pump that came with the pool. A cartilage filter. The sand filter is easy to use. Saves on buying and replacing filters. You do have to purchase the sand separately but it’s not bad. The pump cleans better than the original pump. I’m satisfied with this purchase. I recommend watching YouTube videos to learn how to operate the pump. Since it requires backwashing and other operations

EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! The best of the best of the BEST! I had Bestway sand filter last year and it was great. But this thing, I cannot say enough. We are a small family of pool lovers, so we don’t mind investing in our pool maintenance products. I wanted something a BIT more powerful than our pool calls for. I have the 18’ Bestway steel round pool from Sam’s Club. Holds approx. 6k of water. The water flow is absolutely phenomenal. Keeps my water ROTATING. ATTN: HUSBANDS/DADS/PARTNERS: YOU NEED TO CUSTOM FIT PRESSURE PVC. Also, make sure you do the in-wall Hayward Skimmer + PoolRX for PUMP skimmer basket (find on Amazon). Home Depot has it all, (pvc-wise). See our video for what you need. You can do this and won’t regret it. Mine did!! HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE. 20/10 would recommend for above ground pools! I 1000% attribute our pool health/success to this pump. Give us high-five for this amazing video!

The pump itself is great except a recent rain compromised the “waterproof” GFI. Took a bit to not have a heart attack thinking the whole pump was messed up. Once thoroughly inspected we could see water in the little window on plug. Once we took plug apart, we could see where half the rubber gasket sealing the plug was not installed. Perhaps an oversight at the factory. I supplemented another plug I had on hand as I wait to hear back from company on sending me a replacement GFI plug. It’s under warranty so we will see what they do. Otherwise, it works like a champ! Really cycles the water efficiently. We are on well water and this pump helped me get the water into shape fast! I would highly recommend!

This equipment worked excellently. I was impressed by the power of the water output. It makes the water more crystal clear. It was easy to assemble myself with the help of the videos provided in the manual. I recommend it. I've been using it for two weeks and haven't had any problems.

Pump was easy to assemble. Some tips tho. when placing, please put it where it's gonna stay cause it does not move easily with sand and water. Read the instructions carefully. Do not move the inner tube assembly while filling with sand. Should get at least 2 bags of 50lb sand to fill to proper height, not 1 bag. Honestly most of this was pretty simple to put together and the pump does actually work quite well, very quiet. I like the timer on it also. The aerator also balanced my ph level so very cool just be aware this is for pools 15' Diameter or more. Anything smaller is kinda overkill.

I considered this pump for far to long. I wish I baught it a month ago. I have an 18' round bestway pool. We have a small grey 8400 gallon pump. Our pool holds just over 8200 gallons. It just wasn't moving the water much. Time to upgrade. The 2800 pump was cheaper than the 2100 so I got the 2800 on sale. It's perfect. I thought it would be to powerful however I am thrilled for my choice. The water is moving nicely now. The pump was super easy to install. I watched the video. It was easy to follow. I did purchase an attachment kit but I didn't need it at all. The hoses i have are compatible. Keeping it, as its always nice to have extra pieces. The only pieces I will purchase will be the shut off valve for the intake hoses so I dont have to use the black stoppers when I empty the leaf basket. It is so quiet I have to keep checking if its on. Great price Great pump.

I have a Coleman 18‘ x 4 1/2‘ deep has two filter nozzles and one jet filter works great almost too big should’ve got the smaller one, but I am very very impressed. Came with just about every part except for the small adaptor hoses and connector For the filter holes, but I already had one with the original product but you can buy them here on Amazon and if you have this kind of cool, also buy the skimmer adaptor and then everything works super great.

This thing is amazing. Honestly, I went a little overkill, but I knew purchasing one of those other Intex pumps wasn't going to do the job. It made more sense to spend the extra $40 and get this bad boy. My pool has been running for 1 hour a day on 3 super pucks, and that's it. I still haven't had to add any more since I set it up almost a month ago. Great purchase, highly recommend.

We don't have an Intex pool, but watched a video on YouTube to adapt it to a 15-foot Summerwaves pool. We just had to buy an adapter at the local hardware store to go from one of the hoses to the existing filter on the Summerwaves pool and that was it. The rest was as close to plug and play as it gets. FYI, my hubby isn't handy at all and we were able to figure it out. Out pool now is crystal clear and inviting vs. before with just the Summerwaves filter, which is not the greatest. We left that filter in place, because it's the first line of filtration, but the one that does the hard work is the Intex pump.
