This book was so much better than the first in the series! The first was basically porn - a loosely developed plotline used to string together a bunch of super explicit sex scenes and cameos from characters from a previous series. It just didn't flow. This book had just as much graphic sex, but because Mark's demon was accepting his sexual preferences, those scenes helped drive the plot and his growth arc through self-loathing to acceptance as Katelyn loved and accepted him and expressed her eagerness and enjoyment of what he considered his darkest fantasies. It won't be everyone's cup of tea - sexual dominance and light BDSM. Much of it certainly isn't mine, but I enjoyed both of their growth arcs, especially Mark recognizing he has worth. I also loved that she called him on his crap, and they seemed to develop a true partnership and compromise, keeping his dominance mostly in the bedroom. Honestly, I loved Mark and Katelyn. They balance each other.Luke, though! Oh my goodness - he's shaping up to be my fav Bennett boy, and I can't wait to read his story!Where it fell short: I wish we'd met Katelyn's family. The side plot with the girl who tried to sabotage dessert at James's and Sophie's wedding was abandoned without any resolution. The cameos of Sophie's brother and sister-in-law and reference to her family still felt forced and unnecessary. The reader just doesn't have enough background to understand without having read the previous series (I have not & don't even know the name of it). It seems the author is very attached to their storyline, and it's distracting.

I loved that the author Realistic and really had a beautiful Skill I created 3 dimensional character Who were fun loving with a realistic backstory.

I listened to this one. And the narrators brought it to life in a way just reading it could never do. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Oh boy! I loved Mark and Katelyn, they were both hot, sexy, passionate and badass.They were pussy footing around, whilst trying to get the others attention. They made a great couple, not just in thebedroom but in all areas of their lives.They had a great respect for one another and they fought tooth and nail to get what they both deserved.I loved that we got more of James, Sophie,mama and Luke. I enjoyed their friends banter and their guidance.A story of two strong, and very independent people who try to deny themselves and work through the kinks to get a fantastic future together.

There were moments that I really love and other that drove me crazy but it was okayI’ll read Luke Story anyway

Ahhhh I couldn't decide if I wanted to throttle or hug Mark for a good half the book but when he pulled his head out of his arse I was swooning withe the way he treated his city girl. And when. He called her princess it was just perfect. Gotta say I did NOT think Mark was gonn be as Spicy as he is.. in James book he seemed bland I figured he'd need a firecracker to spice up his life GOOD GODDESS WAS I WRONG... 🥵🥰🥵 Caitlin is one lucky event planner 🥰🤣

Almost got me with that third act break up but I was surprised! I loved it! The right enough spice. JACOB MORGAN IS A GOD! Just give him all the spicy Audiobooks please.

Katelyn and Mark go round and round trying to meet in the middle. One of them was holding back to show there true self. As you read this story watch the fairy tale open up from a boring beige to a colorful rainbow. The humor was fantastic and the writing was spot on. I couldn't put this down it was so good. Read how this story ends up. It might open you up to your own rainbow of colors.

I would definitely read this again and again. Loved everything. So going to keep reading the next few books just cause I fall in love with each character a little bit more.

I have just finished the second Bennett boys Ranch book and I can't waitto start the third. Interesting plot, great characters but most importantly excitement writing. I read a lot of short romance stories and I'm not too picky about the lack of attention of some writers of the story is captivating. However, it's much more satisfying when the writer is careful with style and and exciting and rich vocabulary. Lauren Landish can definitely write. I can recommend the ones I've read, the first and the second. I'll soon l finish the third and let you know. 😉

Riding Hard was a really enjoyable ride! Mark & Katelyn's journey was like a ticking time bomb ready to explode and when it did wow! Braking down each others barriers, and their sizzling chemistry was hot! Perfect ending!

I enjoyed this book! Raw and real in its telling of events, character development and descriptions. Expected ending, but that's why we read this stuff!
