Revel: An Enemies to Lovers Rockstar Romance - Kindle edition by Stahl, Shey. Contemporary Romance Kindle eBooks @ desertcart.com. Review: Omg! - Omg! I think I just rode the biggest emotional roller coaster of my life. Revel and Taylan ... or should I say Red? My god... So good! If it weren’t for a job, kids, husband and life in general, I would have probably read this book in one sitting. I could not stop reading it. Revel is so beautifully broken and dare I say he makes smoking attractive? I mean it’s not, but the way he does it... swoon. He is all bad boy and could really give a F*** about anything and anyone, but the way he is with Red? I honestly wished I was her! He goes through so much in this story and I don’t want to give away any spoilers but his ending is nothing short of amazing. Red (Taylan). Yeah she’s a bad ass. When you first meet her you kinda wanna smack her for being so naive but once you get to know her you want to be her best friend. The way she is with Rev and how she handles everything? So graceful and poised. She is one strong woman for putting up with the crap Rev puts her through and in the end she is strong enough for the both of them. I so enjoyed reading Revel and I have a feeling this one will be one that I come back to from time to time to reread just because I will miss the characters. I look forward to reading more of Shey’s books and I am hoping I fall in love with them just like I did Revel. Review: Good angsty read - This book definitely became a favorite, but it took a little while for me to get into it. Revel was too into being “bad” and telling us about it. It felt a little immature and annoying, BUT once I pushed through I found the amazing chemistry between the 2 addicting. The author did a fantastic job at developing the characters and building their chemistry.

5 Complexed Stars
My review is about as complex as this book. Sure on the surface it's bad boy rocker and pop princess, anyone that reads rock romances has read this before, except this version, I haven't. There were many things that I didn't like, for one, the first 30% of the book was like getting stuck in quicksand. Revel our bad boy and Taylan the Pop Princess literally narrate their story, they are "talking" to you and even at times asking your opinion but once you wade through all that they are trying to prepare you for what's down the road. I admit to being annoyed with Revel, he tries very very hard to convince you about how f'd up bad he is, but there's little substance to back it up. At First. Here is where I thought Ms Stahl was almost trying too hard to label Revel and his band Revved the badasses of them all, but when actions finally took over is when you saw it. My other pet peeve was continuity. The story takes place mostly with a tour of the US but some of the places didn't match up to what you were being told. Now I get this book is 50,000 + words but little things like that had me rereading some chapters. So why 5 Stars? Well because there is a really good story here. The chemistry between Revel and Taylan jumps off the pages, all of it - the ugly, the bad, the hot and yes the love. Revel's pain is so real that you do see beneath all the BS. Taylan is not a simpering victim (thank god) she can and does hold her own. She too is very believable and a Pop Star that doesn't have me rolling my eyes is a wonderful thing. Some of Revel's behaviour may piss off some readers but that's a plus for me, it keeps him real throughout the book. What really cinched the 5 Stars for me was towards the end about the last quarter, the Hinder song Better Than Me came through my mind while I was reading - Loud and clear. And that my friends convinced me that this book deserved 5 Stars - even with all my issues. 1 like

"Don't bite the apple, Red."
Starting this with a quote from the book which is unconventional for myself but seems fitting with this book.... "I was broken from the beginning. And I should leave you alone, but we both know I won't." It seems fitting because this is what the relationship with Revel and Taylan (Red) (Princess) is all about it seems. I liked the way the author wrote this story in parts she's interacting with the actual reader and the characters are actually speaking to us. I liked it even though you are like "what??" how are we supposed to know that her assistant looks beautiful in that dress and then the author or character goes on to tell us what that person is wearing lol....a bit unconventional but please tell me more. This book had everything I want from a RockStar genre read that's for sure. I mean we got the badboy lead singer of the top Rock Band "Revved" going after the Pop Princesss. It's rock-n-roll, drugs, hot AF sex scenes, alcohol abuse, innocence, misunderstood, and the understood all in one. Loved the songs that were explained and the lyrics that went with it....we had some jealous ex-boyfriend, and ex-girlfriend and a POS father to deal with too. We as readers that love the RockStar genre books know that you can only read so many Rocker books and some start to read like the others but this one wasn't the case it was unique in it's own way. I mean Revel is constantly trying to push "Red" away...."Don't bite the apple, Red." but then in a next breath he's saying the words..."Your heart makes my favorite sound." I mean really myself as a heroine or character would be totally confused right?? I think poor Taylan is confused for most of the book, but it's done so brilliantly. One last quote for this amazing read and here's the kicker of all quotes in this book and that it sums it all up so here goes...."You're in my blood. Every pulse and heartbeat is for you, Red." Oh and I forgot to mention this amazing cover for this book it's what drew me in to begin with, then the blurb (synopsis), the actual story was the clincher and it was so good. I'm leaving one more word that made this book so worth while to read and that word is "Navy" hmmmm....I bet your confused. Well read the book lol! I highly recommend this book! Dammit Shey I think I love you! You write these incredible, real, deep, sometimes damaged characters that steal my heart and often my breathe! My husband always laughs at me when I read your books because I can't hide my emotions, I laugh and cry and gasp and might even growl sometimes. I appreciate that you don't shy away from topics like addiction. It makes the journey that much sweeter when you get to the other side.

WOW! If you're thinking that this is a sweet rockstar romance where the rock star changes his wild ways for the woman he loves ... you would be wrong! Revel made me so mad that I wanted to give him a swift kick. But then he is an addict and you can never predict what an addict will do. Taylan ... I wanted to tell her to run far, far away from him because he will do nothing but hurt you. This is a raw look at the lifestyle of a rockstar and the lengths they will go to so they can achieve the high they crave ... whether it be from the music, drugs, alcohol or sex. This is a great read and shouldn't be missed!
