Best of Paco De Lucia (Guitar Tab) (Italian Edition)

Maestro was huge star in flamenco- we lost him in an instant by his death on a beach in Mexico.Spent my flamenco period days during the late 90’s in NYC with a friend accompanying beginning dance classes in Sevillanas/Bulerias. NYC guitarists there all knew the flamenco guitar music books of the time. They recommended the excellent Japanese Gendai Guitar book #325 (by Akira Seta) note for note transcriptions of PDL’s groundbreaking La Fabulosa album from ‘67. This PDL Best Guitar Tab transcription by Leiva appears the most detailed I’ve seen since the Gendai publication. Major difference is the Gendai scores are in music notation only, without biographical or performance notes. The two books do not have the same solos. Like I said PDL was a star- so be prepared to put in lots of hard work learning his music. Either way, PDL’s early/later works are equally difficult.

The book was generated in a vivid and well organized manner. First for as for a single guitar and following for duet. Wonderful music.

First of all, this is not an Italian edition - it is in both English and Spanish. The tablature is in the familiar style of most guitar books plus it has the added notation for proper fingering. The song choices are from Paco's early recordings especially the Fantasia Flamenca album. Although I have not learned all the pieces yet, I did sit down to read the notes along with the recordings, and it seemed that all the notes Paco played on those pieces are in the book.This is an amazing find considering that thee are almost zero music sheet books out there of Paco's music. Thank you to Mr. Leiva for putting this book together, I look forward to purchasing more of his publications.

You are about to purchase the keys to unlock the secrets and of the master Paco de Lucia. David Leiva has rendered note-for-note and faithful transcriptions of Paco de Lucia’s signature pieces with astounding attention to detail. Many times, in these types of music books there are mistakes, but you won’t find any in this book, it is truly “The Best of Guitar Tab” (also includes standard notation).Abbreviations and symbols are outlined beforehand along with Dynamics to help illustrate and emphasize phrasing. Most of the pieces require a capo which you probably already own especially if you’re a Flamenco player.I urge you to check out the performances on YouTube of the legendary Paco De Lucia as a supplement to this book for reference.The solo pieces are sublime, and the duos are both challenging and exciting to play especially Anda Jaleo and the instantly recognizable Tico Tico that was popularized and performed with his brother Ramón De Algeciras. This book is worth every penny and the kind of book if you loan out, you won’t get it back. It’s that good.Paco de Lucia was such a gift to the guitar world and his spirit lives in his pieces.Play on Paco, and to you my friend enjoy it!

Very Tab, Much wow

Die Musik ist mitreißend - toll komponiert.Für dieses Niveau sollte man eigentlich vorausssetzen, das der Gitarrist / die Gitarristin ausreichend Notenkenntnisse hat, um die Noten zu lesen und zu spielen. Da stören die Tabulaturen nur - zumal sie nicht für Klavier sind, wie es hier FALSCH angegeben wird, sonder für die Gitarre.So wird viel Papier verschwendet, man wird viel zu oft zum Umblättern gezwungen - und der Preis wird unnötig in die Höhe getrieben.Leider scheint es bislang keine andere Ausgabe zu geben...

憧れのアーチストのギターTAB譜とかって、手に入らない思いをしている人、多いのではないでしょうか？国内のミュージシャンの本ですら、絶版になっていたり、中古で高価な値段になっています。これは、新品です。また、輸入版なので、日本語は書かれていませんが、音楽の符号は、世界共通ですので、通常のTAB譜がわかる人なら、問題なく、ギター練習に使えます。
