just got new prefilter & hepa recplmt was going to run it without the v5 filter, but found more mold in apt would it be better to wait and get v5

Best to start running it with the filters you have now, rather than waiting; those will trap more mold spores anyway, and meanwhile you can still order the V5 and install it too once it arrives.

everytime i buy this thing, why are there so much messy black dust all over the box??

Unlike the smart ass response, the reason would be the carbon used for filtration. Shipping causes a lot of vibrations and because of that carbon dust can escape. Companies I worked for shipped crates to protect custom items and we would have to blow dust out of the crates or the sawdust/other dust could be agitated during shipment and clean items would arrive dusty. I strongly don’t recommend this filter for other reasons as off brand seems to work better, but that’s why it would be dusty on arrival.
