Boss eBand JS-10 Audio Player with Guitar Effects - Black/Silver

Ok this thing is the bomb. No it's not the loudest unit on the block but it's not supposed to be (ok they over hype the speakers). It's easy to use, has a great variety of music to practice with and get inspired. I also LOVE the pre-installed rhythm tracks as well. I easily loaded some of my favorite mp3 to practice with after upgrading the Sd card to 32GB (make sure to copy all the system files from the included SD card, then copy them back to the new one). the software to transfer files is easy to set up and use. I haven't gone through all the effects but there is a great variety and they are automatically pulled up and stored with different songs (but you can change the defaults that come up for that song). recording is a snap and you can do infinite sound on sound if you just wanna throw down some quick tracks. You're not going to use this box to "make songs" but as far as speed and simplicity and inspiration it's just great. I play acoustic mostly but it's nice to plug in an electric with headphones for quiet jamming late at night. The A-B looping function is awesome for learning difficult passages and yes you can slow things down significantly but the music starts sounding choppy fairly quickly especially when you get down to like 80 percent speed. It is very easy to record a track over an existing loop and then audition it before you save or delete it. It's also a very simple process to transfer your song from the SD card to a usb stick where it saves the song as a .wav file. just having this box on your desk like a laptop is just so freaking cool! Some people have criticized the amp modeling as not being very good, but honestly i don't know from different amps so doesn't bother me. Given that this is arguably one of the best swiss army guitar boom box i've ever seen I don't expect perfection from every tool. Still i think they jammed quite a bit into this device and am very pleased by the portability, ease of use and just plain fun! If you just want to practice, get inspiration for songwriting, or just want to use it as an electronic scratch pad I really don't think you can go wrong with this one!

Very simple and intuitive to use, love the fact you can plug in two guitars, many different guitar effects, takes all forms on plug ins, and speakers really sound fantastic. The unit works better than I anticipated, would recommends to anyone.

I have had 3 of these. Yes, 3. I bought the JS-8 and really loved it. But being a guitar enthusiast more than a really good player, I change a lot:) So I sold the Js-8 to a friend while I concentrated on a tube amp setup. Then, about a year later, I desired the JS-10 and purchased one. I liked it but again went with a newer tube amp model and eventually sold the JS-10.That was over 1 year ago. After much playing, working with pedals and setups, testing the Fractal FX-series and the Kemper head (both about 2 grand), I finally decided that what provides my real need, playing style, and life, is the JS-10. Here's why...I love 4x12 cabinet sounds, tube heads, delay/phaser/chorus pedals, and I have used a Rockcrusher attenuator so I can dime out the amp volume without losing any tone. But I do not play in a band. I play only at home and 99% with no one ever hearing or seeing me. I don't need the big stuff. But I like the sound of the big stuff. So, I simply use the JS-10 with speakers attached, along with internal speakers and BOOM - the sound is awesome. The range is more in line with house speakers so the sound is more all/everywhere. It is near - not exactly - but nearly what the amp setup is.The JS-10 has so many features that I like that the Amp setup do not have - like an auxiliary input, song looping, tuner, headphone jack, and so many effects that can be tweaked galore.Also, for my taste, I can just sit and play by dialing in the presets available.I am now selling all of my other gear. The JS-10 is my go to from here on out.

This is a great little toy for jamming at home and keeping your chops up between gigs! I have found it to sound better than any of the other "band in a box" type devices. I run it through two powered studio monitor speakers and i can crank it up until the neighbors complain! The record option is very nice. You can lay down track after track to work up harmony lead parts. The only thing it doesn't do is allow you to 'punch in' during a track - so if you make a mistake you have to start all over again. It has many many guitar effects pre-programmed in and each of those can be altered to suit your individual preferences. If it had a pedal board to control the effects then this thing could easily go to a gig with you. It wouldn't be too hard to set up an impressive one-man show! There is an input for an expression pedal to control the WAH WAH effect and an input for a couple of foot switches that will add some versatility for live performances but these options are to limiting for me to use live. So 4 stars instead of 5. Still, I enjoy the JS-10 and play at home with it every day. It's a fun way to keep in practice and annoy the neighbors.

The brand arrived without the as card. The speakers are very sensitive to overdrive. Otherwise it functions as described.

terrible product for me. at home it sounds nothing like any of the video's I listened to before purchase. tinny, digital, terrible.

The JS-10 is awesome. It allows a person to play with other musicians, record, play guitar or bass or sing and use different amps. It will raise your level of play 10 times faster than just practicing and playing alone. The backing tracks offer a great way to play different genres and practice soloing, scales, mastering the fret board, playing along with your favorite bands and as far as I can see it is for any level player.

It's a cool product-would work best with an external speaker for sure.

The appliance is a very good for study. The effects are very good, especially the hard rock ones which are my favorite. The only problem is when I unplug my fender Stratocaster and I play distortion sound, sometimes a swish noise comes out. The sound which comes out from the speakers are quite fine but not to much strong.... however is perfect to stay in your room and study!!!

Love this Audio player. I enjoy jamming with this player. I recommend this to any guitarist.
