What's the difference between the "6 door hooks" and the "6 hooks R" versions?

"6 door hooks" means that the hooks' shape are square, “6 hooks R" means that the hooks' shape are round. you can see the differences from the pictures.

Will this fit over a 44mm thick door?

I just measured it and the gap is 44-45mm - i dont think would fit well without scraping/very tight

Can you still close the door?

If the door is too tight without enough gap above the door, it won't close. Check size of gap above door and door frame, and thickness of hook. Should fit if gap better than thickness. I bought 5 of this hooks and most fit, in one or two case, I shave the top of door a little and then OK.

As standard door widths are 34mm and fire doors are 44mm, the over door hooks are 45mm. Does this suit a “standard” door ok without unhooking?

You can use a couple of small countersunk screws to fix the hook to the top edge of the door.
