We cannot say that enough. For anyone looking to scan documents, children's artwork, photos and even ID's and passports then this Brother Printer Document Scanner is for you! We have scanned our entire four drawer file cabinet and our entire photo album all onto Micro SD cards all with the help and thanks to this little beautiful machine. And it was very easy to operate, set up, scan and so forth. You can choose to scan as a JPEG or PDF or a continuing PDF which is a really handy option. And the quality comes out better than the object you scanned in. As the pixel ratings can be set to your liking. We highly recommend this product to anyone looking to scan documents, photos or the like for personal or business. We have easily scanned over 1000 items and have had no glitches or problems with this product. It is built like a Brother, as our Brother laser printer is still running strong and she's over 10 years old now. Again, if you are shopping for small portable scanners look no where else. We compared them all before we bought and are beyond pleased we picked this Brother printer document scanner. This is an excellent scanner, fast and reliable, and I highly recommend the PaperPort document manager that comes with it. I bought this scanner as a replacement for a Neat Receipts scanner because the Neat website was so buggy that their scanner was almost useless in practice. The Brother customer service is also excellent, I submitted a request and received a phone call from an actual person within two days to fix my problem. The scanner is compact and powered through the USB cord, so you only have one cord to worry about. I scanned a document with fine print at the different resolutions (200, 300, & 600 dpi), and decided that I prefer 300 dpi for most routine scanning, and 600 dpi for items with fine print. Scanning is fast, at least four times as fast as my Neat scanner at 300 dpi, and slightly faster even at the highest resolution. I have been using it for three months with no problems. The disc that came with the scanner was defective, but I was able to download the scanner driver from the website and get started. I had to contact tech support for the PaperPort software, and as I said eariler they called back pretty quickly and made certain I installed the software with no difficulty. There are guides for Getting Started and How To, which made the software easy to figure out. The PaperPort software opens with a view similar to File Explorer. I can see the entire Documents folder on my computer, and a folder was created for My PaperPort Documents, which is where I keep my scanned documents. To scan a new document I just select the folder I want to send the document to (any folder in Documents), click the "scan now" tile in the menu bar, then I check the settings and go. It defaults to the previous settings, but I can easily change the resolution, B&W/color, etc. before scanning. Very easy and intuitive, and so much faster than the Neat system! This doesn't come with an on-line cloud service like the Neat system, but that also means I don't need to pay a monthly subscription. I can just back up my documents to a DropBox and have on-line backup and access that way. Overall I am very happy with this scanner, and finally clearing my desk of all of the documents that were backing up as I struggled with my old Neat system.

Utiliser sur bureau en continu, il est très fiable et simple à utiliser, malgré un scan de prêt de 50 feuilles/jour il n'a pas montré de faiblesse. Idéal pour une utilisation sur petit bureau !

Compré este escáner hace casi dos meses por dos razones: la primera es que a veces veo clientes fuera de mi oficina y necesito copia de algunos documentos, y la segunda es que cuando trabajó desde casa y quiero escanear documentos tamaño oficio, no puedo porque el escáner que tengo es de cama plana y solo tamaño carta (es el del multifuncional). Lo conecto a la MacBook Air que traigo para todos lados y funciona perfecto. Ahora ya no uso el escáner del multifuncional pues tendría que prenderlo, esperar a que se conecte a la red (es inalámbrico) y si estoy en otra habitación, ir al estudio, poner la hoja, etc. Lo guardo en mi mochila junto con la computadora así que siempre está a la mano. Yo solo lo uso para digitalizar documentos y la mayoría son texto o combinación de texto y fotos pero no necesito que sean a color por lo que los guardo en PDF en blanco y negro o a lo mucho en escala de grises. A veces necesito escanear escrituras de propiedad o contratos de 80 hojas tamaño oficio y lo he hecho sin ningún problema y bastante rápido considerando que estoy en un café o en casa. Tiene un mecanismo que "agarra" el borde de la hoja cuando la acercas al alimentador y cuando presionas el botón de "escanear" la hoja pasa derecha. Nunca ha arrugado una hoja, nunca se ha atorado ni ha fallado. Supongo que no es la mejor opción para escanear fotos o imágenes a color en alta resolución pues para esos casos nada funciona tan bien como un escáner de cama plana pero para documentos, recibos, etc. este escáner hace excelente trabajo. La principal ventaja comparado con otros de precio similar, es que se "abre" para limpiar él vidrio que protege a la lámpara (que es la que escanea) y limpiar los rodillos y el espacio por donde pasa la hoja. De esta forma te aseguras que va a funcionar bien todo el tiempo. Hay una opción de la misma marca y un poco más cara que escanea por los dos lados de la hoja. Yo preferí este modelo porque no tengo tantos documentos de 2 caras y no me importa tardarme un poco en lo que son de 2 caras, además este es mas chico y pesa menos. Hay opciones con alimentador automático y otras prestaciones pero yo creo que si la necesidad de escanear es tanta, mejor invertir en un escáner profesional de cama plana con alimentador etc. Este modelo hace una cosa y la hace muy bien, fácil y sin problemas.

I've had it for a few weeks now and I love this scanner. For Windows 10 the software installation was easy and the scanner works very well. I use it to scan all of my receipts and important documents and 600dpi the digital pdf results are fantastic. The Windows version of the scanning software is simple and straight forward. It allowed me to specify a network folder on my NAS and it remembers it, so that's great for me. All my scans go straight to my NAS. It will also allow you to preview your scanned results. Another great thing about he software is, after a document is scanned, it displays a 30 second countdown timer for you to insert the next document. If you insert the next document within the 30 second window it will automatically scan the next document or receipt. I really like this feature, I stack all of my receipts in advance and then I just hit the scan button once and just keep feeding the receipts through. One thing to note. The software does not create "multiple page" scanned pdf files. Even if you feed multiple documents through one after the other, it will make a separate pdf file for each scan.
