Multi-Function Car Carbon Monoxide Detector, Quick Charge 3.0 Fast Car Charger Adapter, CO Alarm Detector in Car with Emergency Glass Breaker(Black)

Didn’t work at all, cheap product

It’s heavy and makes me believe the emergency glass break could work if needed but the main reason I bought this was to alert my family of carbon monoxide and no place on the package does it mention this feature which should be advertised because it’s the main point of this device. So that does not give me confidence.Also, it does not stay secure inside the 12v outlet. I have to keep pushing it back in. It just continues to fall out. This is terrible quality and I have zero confidence in this device.

It has been plugged into the socket in the trunk of our Ford Explorer for the past several months. It provides a charging point for a phone/tablet. The monoxide detector has never gone off (which is good). It doesn’t make any sound when the ignition is switched on, in fact no audible beeps or anything, just a little illumination showing it has power. Happy I guess.

I travel full-time. I often sleep in my vehicle. Sometimes, not often, I run the heater or the a/c while the vehicle is parked. In the past I've had exhaust leaks. I never fall asleep when the vehicle is running, but if CO is present - of course I want to know.The USB charger/CO detector fits well and securely in the 12v socket. The charger works just fine. But I didn't know how to test the CO detector. The seller told me to do the following: Light a cigarette near the detector. When the detector is checking for CO, the yellow light comes on and stays on during the detection process. If the CO is over 100 PPM, the red light will flash and the alarm will beep; or if the CO is less than 100 PPM, the yellow light will go off until the next detection scan.I'm not a smoker, so I asked a friend who does smoke to test the detector. Windows rolled up. He enjoyed a cigarette in what up until that point had been a smoke free van. The detector worked. Even so, I'm a tad bit paranoid about CO in my mini-van, so I purchased another one of these for the rear 12v socket. Peace of mind at a low cost. Good deal.

I unplugged my charger from the lighter socket and plugged this one in. The other chargers have worked fine but this one didn’t. Definitely needs a shim to hold it up so it will stay working.

The first one I got was dead on arrival, but Amazon was quick sending out a replacement that has worked great so far. Granted, I have no idea if the detector part is working, but this one lights up and quickly charges my phone when I'm plugged in.I have noticed it doesn't always stay plugged in all the way, but I think that's more an issue with my car plug than the device, so I'm happy.

Bought this because our vehicle had a major issue with CO2 for the brand (Ford Explorer). It beeps to initialize which concerned me at first but I realized that it was the initializing when the car starts ( every time it starts FYI). We had it beep for increased CO2 levels and were happy we had it. This product is a need if you have an older vehicle or a model experiencing a similar issue to mine.

I couldn't write a review until the device went off. Unfortunately, it was on a warm day with the windows down. And, it didn't go off, so I would say it is defective. I bought this for winter when the windows are up. I wouldn't buy this again.
