\ Blue Envy bleach and dye kit 3 pack
i purchased a 3-pack of this dye kit for a good price (less than $10.00 a box plus free shipping). with this kit you may dye your hair when its dry, i like that. i find this shade fades to a dull/greyed out color and this dye fades in the sun more than Manic Panic's, it bleeds out with every shampoo (so shampoo less often). i bleach my roots every 6-8 weeks and do an all over dye, i usually touch up/refresh the overall color every 2-4 weeks by adding a mixture of blue and transparent red (specifically Manic Panic's Fuchsia Shock) or pre-mixed purple dye into a single use amount of conditioner and apply in the shower after shampooing, this works to maintain the depth of color and reduces the noticeability of streaking. i also use and strongly recommend a cuticle sealant with this dye (as well as Fuschia Shock) to limit the amount of bleeding; i have had this dye run out of my hair in the RAIN, as well as stain a person i slept with when my hair was dry(smurfy). i use a joyco product, they have a few to choose from. Aveda makes a really nice uv protectant, it smells AWESOME and you can usually get a sample to try if you go into an Aveda store, however it may lift your dye (onto your hands) as you apply it.

Great color, long lasting
Splat never fails to always give long lasting color and super pigmentation. It is a bit of a mess as it stains everything BUT the color tends to last a couple months on my prelightnened hair.

It smells so good!
Be prepared to rinse color from your hair every time you shower. My first application of this product (applied to hair that had been bleached three times in four months) lasted 6 weeks before it faded to a washed-out light blue. My second application (applied over all of my hair, including the parts that had been bleached twice in four months and then dyed black) turned out more bold and bright and lasted two months before fading.I have semi-wavy dark brown hair and my ethnicity is Northwestern European/Eastern Mediterranean. I wash my hair once every 4-6 days.

BLUE😟
It definitely stained the hair but it also stained everything else in a 10 foot radius. It’s difficult to get of tile, countertops, and especially skin. Even with a towel down everything still got blue. So if you want to use this then you better be prepared to look like a wannabe from the blue man group.

Blue Envy
I just used Splat Blue Envy on some of my dreadlocks, and I am very pleased with the results. I did not bleach them ahead of time as they said to, but that was just a personal choice. The color I achieved without the bleaching process on my light brown dreads is a lovely indigo blue. It was very easy to use, but as the other reviewer pointed out - it does stain your skin. The dye does come off eventually, but make certain you cover whatever you don't want dyed - and wear old clothes just in case it drips on them.If you want some fun for your hair, this is a great product for that.

Blue Envy Rules!
A month later my color is almost all gone except for right down the center. The rest is blondish-blue, but the transition has been fun to watch. The photo is day one.Love this color!

Blue, Blue Everywhere...
It's all right. If you don't mind blue-lined nail beds and scrubbing blue stains from everything. My shower looked like I'd murdered a smurf when I was done rinsing, so I had to bleach and scrub it. Recommend a couple things: put newspaper on counters and floors like I did. Use gloves other than what's included in the box (they're too long in the fingers and barely cover wrists, making it hard to control where the color goes near your hairline and blue wrists a certainty). Rinse kneeling by the tub or rinse in the sink. Do NOT just take a shower with this stuff. It'll splash blue dye everywhere. Still wear gloves while rinsing, or your hands will be just as blue as if you'd dyed your hair without gloves. In the end, I'm fairly stain-free and so is my bathroom, but it took some scrubbing. The color itself? Not bad. I had black hair with brown roots and I dyed without bleaching first because I didn't want the color to be that vibrant. Well, if it's not as blue as I'd like, I guess I only have myself to blame. There's some tint, but not much. And I have blue patches on my scalp from where the dye stained, which is weird, because I rinsed really well. At least I don't have brown roots anymore.I wouldn't use it again, at least not without bleaching my hair first. I would try to be neater as well. This stuff stains everything way worse than normal hair color. The blue patches on my scalp, though, I don't know... maybe temporary color would be better next time.

Lasts until you don't want it to
I faithfully only use Splat, however I do sometimes change the color. I usually don't even have to use the bleach. Seriously!! I have medium brown hair (sprinkled with a few grey) and this color covers my roots without bleach! And it really does last forever. I only have to do mine about every 2 months and that's only to cover my roots.
