The Paint Pouring Workshop: Learn to Create Dazzling Abstract Art with Acrylic Pouring

I purchased this book to learn how to do pour painting so I could teach a Jr High/High School Vacation Bible School class. Everything was very detailed, easily understood, with many options on different techniques. I made up some samples which came out very well with her instructions! The students I had loved doing it! Many of the adult teachers/helpers were impressed with students projects and how well they did. So you don't need a lot of crafting experience to do it, just follow her instructions & advice. I would recommend the book to anyone wanting to learn the basics of pour painting. Well worth the price which I thought was very reasonable.

this book is very informative and great for the beginner. It has many techniques to try out as well as step by step instructions and pictures to follow along. The book also has "recipes" for paint, different paints to try, and the difference between paints and quality. It is a good resource and knowledge to get anyone started. This book looks great! Recently, I have watched a few videos by the author, Marcy Ferro. I was absolutely mesmerized by her art and I had to buy this book right away. The book is a paperback and really good quality. Lots of detailed photos, beautiful colors. The author explains everything very well, from the basic materials needed and where to get them, different techniques and tons of great ideas. I have not made anything yet but I feel that I will be able to create really cool pieces of art with the help of Ms. Ferro's book.

I was so frustrated as a beginner because nothing I found explained the pouring medium, they assumed you knew. This book explained it all. Paints, mediums, additives, ratios. The example pours are well explained and offer me several to start out with, but I took off one star because I thought there could have been more. A thin book that could easily have been bigger. But overall am happy.

Unbelievable photos with detailed instructions. Perfect for beginners or anyone who wants to learn different techniques. Do not hesitate to buy. I’m a beginner and can’t wait to try!

I guess this was printed by Lark Books. Kudos to them because the quality is really nice and the pages feel good in your hand. But the standing ovation goes to the author, Marcy Ferro. I’ve watched a ton of her Mixed Media Girl videos but this book really shows the educator she is. The way she moves through getting you set up to pour before reaching the pouring techniques is brilliant and made me feel ready. Then the step-by-step of the techniques themselves is so much better than trying to watch a video while pouring! And the pictures are beautiful. I’ve read through twice and I’m excited to have it as I continue my paint pouring education. 😁

I liked this book because it explained things so completely. Mixing the paints, the different pouring mediums, pouring techniques, even why things might not work out as you envisioned and how to fix it. A great book for newbies like me and a great reference tool as I work to become more experienced in the process

Questo libro è estremamente completo. Spiega chiaramente ai neofiti come me ogni tecnica relativa all'acrylic pouring, con foto illustrative, oltre ai materiali necessari. Molto utili anche le due sezioni finali riguardanti il procedimento per l'utilizzo delle tecniche su vari oggetti ed il problem solving. Ho apprezzato anche il fatto che le misure sono espresse anche con l'unità di misura europea.

Very informative book

Having recently watched Marcy Ferro demonstrating her paint pouring techniques on You Tube ,I wanted to know all about this ( new to me ) art form. I bought the Paint Pouring Workshop. What a superb introduction to this medium. Even I can grasp the basics and I hope to be able to produce inspiring artwork in the not too distant future. Thank You Marcy.
