Not terrible but not worth the price.
1st issue is the packaging the whole system is simply just put in a box with out any foam or bubble wrap. I've ordered other exhausts before and they always come with foam bags around them.2nd issue is the tail pipe hitting the rear crossmember. The only way to fix it is to put the 2 hangers closer together in the rubber holder on one side.3rd issue is the cheap clamps. For the price you would assume they would give you decent exhaust clamps. I ended up buying 3 single bolt band clamps for $25 they look better and seal better. It sounds decent while driving, a little obnoxious at first but does mellow out. I had a Borla system on my 3rd gen 4runner and it sounded very aggressive I wanted something a little less for my 5th gen and will say it is a lot less aggressive but still has a bit of a drone in lower gears and rpm. I bought this mainly because of the side exit. If I could I would return it and just have a side exit tip installed at a shop. The system isn't terrible just not what I expected for almost $500

Fantastic!
I purchased the 618816B model, I do not believe it is sold on Amazon, but it is the same exhaust with the ceramic black tips vs the polished...shop around and you can find it for an incredible price.Install, removing the stock exhaust is straightforward be sure to use WD40 on the rubber hangers and your life will be much easier...remove the spare tire and I removed the spare tire heat shield (2 bolts) and was able to remove the factory exhaust without cutting it.Install the Gibson is also pretty straightforward and slides back into the existing stock hangers but really could use a little tweaking to make the angles / line up perfect. This exhaust is larger in diameter than stock and the clearance between the frame crossmember and the bolts for the heat shield on the bottom of the body (above the pipe) leave little clearance...you have about a 1/4" to play with on both sides. I ended up using a wooden shim, cut it on miter to look like a door stop) and just push it in until you have equal clearance above and below then tighten the clamp where the pipes attach to the muffler. If you have a helper that can hold it no need for the shim. The next issue I ran into is the bracket for the heat shield...it ends up very close to the pipe and clamp and has around 1/8" clearance at that connection (this is the last piece in the system that has the dual outlet pipes). In the next 400 miles I had 3 instances where the clamp would vibrate against the mount for about 15 seconds or...could not duplicate it on demand. I discarded the clamp that came with the system and used this clamp instead https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ASXM9S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1to double the amount of space and so far in the next 200 miles I have not heard the vibration. The sound is exactly what I was looking for...gives it a deeper sound but is not loud at all and I have not noticed any droning at any speeds...perfect for what I was looking for. I have heard the magnaflow in person and that was NOT the sound I wanted...a little to loud and fast and furious like to my ears. YMMV.This is not a supercharger...I did the exhaust and AFE Momentum GT intake at the same time and yes, there is a noticeable performance improvement accelerating and on hills but realize it will not knock your socks off. My stock MPG was 18.2 combined city / highway and after the intake and exhaust I was up to 19.6 MPG after 600 miles...but I lifted the 4R 3" and installed 33" tires and currently I am at 17.6 MPG but it has only been about 80 miles since the lift.Fantastic exhaust for the tone I was looking for...also the side exit allows you to run the rear window down without pulling exhaust fumes back into the cab plus is just looks so much better / more refined. The black ceramic is exactly what I was looking for as my model is the TRD Pro and has a lot of black accents already so it ties in nicely...there is not chrome or polished looking bits on my 4R.Good luck in your decision and install!

Decent exhaust for the price not too loud
I ordered this kit due to the price, the side discharge and the reviews. The kit was packaged well and instructions were easy to follow but it's kind of a no-brainer putting it in. It takes a couple hours to install depending on how rusted your current exhaust system is.The tubing is high quality and the muffler is much smaller than the stock Muffler thus saving some weight. It sounds much better but it's not extremely loud. Slightly louder than stock in my opinion. I did notice some improvements in low-end Power and torque. Not a lot but some. A couple helpful hints to removing the old exhaust. Use WD-40 on the rubber hangers to get them loose. It saves a lot of time. Other spray lubricants don't work as well take my word for it. The stock exhaust system has a joint over the rear axle. It's very difficult to get to those bolts, its easier to cut off exhaust at one end or the other to remove it. You have to use the same donut Gasket to attach it to the main exhaust. I wish they included this with the kit. It would probably be a good idea to buy another one to avoid any leaks. Also spraying the bolts for removal with PB Blaster ahead of time will save you some work frustration.

As Expected
The exhaust arrived ahead of time and well packaged with all the required pieces. Fitment was spot on and the exhaust note is excellent.

Absolutely Worthless.
I would highly recommend finding another exhaust. I was replacing a rusted out, factory original muffler and this exhaust, once installed, ended up louder than the blown out muffler I was replacing. The pipe bracket arms allowed the exhaust to rest on the frame and even when this was worked around, the muffler itself did appreciably nothing. Absolutely Worthless.
