Awesome scope, worth more than the price.
I personally received the wrong item in the box. Not sure what happened there, but the scope I got definitely wasn't the correct one. Returned it and received a refund. Amazon is really great with their return policy. The reason I'm still leaving a review is that I ended up buying this exact scope elsewhere, for a super bargain price. Great design, lifetime no questions asked warranty, Perfect reticle, nice thin crosshairs, parallax adjustment works great, at lowest and highest magnification, the entire FOV is extremely clear, and the lenses provide a perfect view. The large sun shade is very effective. Very easy to zero, and together with my home built custom AR: Shilen match grade .223 wylde 20" 1:8 barrel, Mega nickel boron upper and lower receiver set, JP clamp on adjustable gas block, Aero Precision Mlok handguard installed with Seekins barrel nut (Aero handguard is only designed to work with special proprietary Aero upper receivers, but I researched the mounting screw holes and used a seekins barrel nut), and of course a Vortex Crossfire II 6-24x50, I'm able to shoot .3 MOA at 100yds with hand loaded 77gr SMK's from a bench rest. The rifle would probably cost $4000 if it were a factory gun. Sorry, I can't help but brag about my Custom AR work, and what the gun is capable of. I planned on using a much more expensive optic, and use this one temporarily until the budget would allow something a little more fitting for the gun. But I'm so please with this scope, that I'm going to leave it on there. This optic is worth much more than it's price, and it's impossible to be disappointed by it. Buy it. You won't regret it. Unless you get the wrong one! The one I received didn't even seem to be a Vortex. It looked like it may have been previously returned, or something weird like that. Whatever, it happens. Happy Shooting!!

Great value for money
Excellent optics. Clear reticle and great light gathering. Just as good as more expensive scopes I've bought

Impressive scope ... incredibly large and forgiving eye box ... very clear optics too
This is an exceptional scope. It is clear and has very little distortion. You can move you head back and forth and side to side and the image stays clear. This is called eye box and in a real world usage is far more important than a lot of other things some scopes offer. Buy this scope ... don't get hung on up on things some people think are cool. You won't be disappointed!

5 star all the way!
I found it! That perfect rifle scope! Exactly what I was looking for a a price I could afford. Originally I purchased a Bushnell 1-4x24mm AR Optic and it was a swing and a miss as described in the review. This scope has everything the way it should be inside and out. Outside it looks great, has a nice smooth and easily operated zoom control and focus, has a solid illumination control with 11 settings right on top of the eye piece so you can clearly see it, capped turrets and nicely accommodates Vortex flip caps. On the inside it features actual crosshairs you can actually see in most scenarios as opposed to the the tiny "tactical" reticles other scopes have, and in the few scenarios you can't see your impact point you get a nice crisp red center dot which is all you need. It's not overwhelming in your sight picture and it won't drain your battery. On a 6 illumination setting which you'll use 90% of the time you'll get 3 days of continual use of battery life! Clear images on all power settings and on 1x power you can use it just like a dot sight with both eyes open for CQB. The most versatile scope I've ever had and I really hope it performs the way it should at the range. As long as it holds a zero I'm good! Don't have any doubts though, I have a Vortex Strike Fire dot sight and it's performed amazing on multiple 5.56 platforms so I have great confidence in Vortex. Not to mention I had my order fulfilled by Amazon so even IF something goes wrong they'll make it all better like they always do. Worth the extra $50. Buy with confidence on this one! Update: Took it to the range not too long ago and this baby rocks! Slapped it on top of my Tavor with some UTG rings and up to 100 yards it was right on the money! Took minor tweaking at around 200 and 300 yards but it was minimal and with the hand turned turrets under the caps it was super easy to adjust. Even marked so you can reset with no issues. At $300 for the scope rings and caps this thing is a friggin steal!

Bang for your buck!
This is my first Vortex product and this scope is on par with Sigs inexpensive offerings. It’s a great time for shooters like me who need a little help for aging eyes, in the past a scope of this quality and features would have been out of reach of me and my pension check! Scope snobs could probably find reasons to be dissatisfied with it but like a lot of affordable kit available now the guns optics and ammo can outshoot me so it’s hard to blame the equipment. As they say, it’s not the arrow, it’s the indigenous person. Anyway, for one of their affordable scopes it’s bright, crisp, has plenty of adjustment, handsome, well made and appears ruggedly made, edge to edge clarity with good color rendition it’s a genuine bargain if it holds up. I’ve only used it for sighting in and then finishing up the 20 rnd box of ammo so far but am happy with it out to around 100 yds. I like the heavy duplex reticle, I’ve used them more than others and don’t have to decipher what all the hash marks mean, it’s mounted on a Ruger Mini 30, not the most accurate rifle but cranks out 3in groups consistently, the new scope didn’t tighten up the group size but has a much better field of view and is noticeably brighter and, I think, due to the comfortable eye box is faster on target as well much better than the older Bushnell Banner 3X9 I was using since I bought the gun in the 80’s. All I’n all I’m very happy and wholeheartedly recommend this scope, even if you can afford a ‘better’ one take a look here and see if it’s not a good way to afford more ammo, THAT will make you a better shooter. Sincerely, W Buck

This was the most expensive scope that I have brought so far. But well worth the money. Highly recommended

With everything being equal, Vortex’s warranty became the deciding factor to purchase my first rifle scope. This product is now my third Vortex purchase and I’m very pleased on the quality, construction, and glass clarity.
