PC332B Portable CD Player with Anti-Skip Protection, FM Radio and Stereo Earbuds - Black

So happy that this device is still manufactured. I love to listen to books on CD. Ths player works great. I have worn out 2 - glad I can still get replacements. Good quality sound for radio and CD operation.

My grandmother is old school and loves listening to her cds. I did buy a case but hated the case so she did end up dropping the CD player. She only dropped it once and now it doesn’t work. She did have it for a good 6 months before dropping it though. She was very upset about and doesn’t understand why it won’t work now . It was a great price but before buying .. think about it . If you are clumsy and drop things a lot , I will definitely think about it this purchase.

I originally bought this CD player for a gift for someone's birthday, and this cd player was on the prime 2 day shipping delivery. I ordered it on January 3, 2022 and I did not receive it until January 14, 2022...I waited 11 days for it!!...so, I had to purchase something else for the birthday present that I needed. I called Amazon to find out what was going on...the guy I talked to told me that they had no idea why it was late, and basically he could not do a thing, and that he really didn't care about my issue, that it wasn't his problem. He actually told me that! Although at the very end of the conversation after I had repeatedly asked to talk to his supervisor, which he told me wasn't possible. He told me he would give me $20.00 off my Amazon membership...and that NEVER happened. I decided to keep this CD player for myself...I did wait to write a review because I was very unhappy with the fact that I did not receive my order in 2 days and whoever I talked to from Amazon, did absolutely nothing to fix the issue. That being said, and now that it has been almost a month I can honestly say how the cd player works. It is worthless, there is a constant humming from it trying to read the cd. If you even attempt to pick it up, move it, bump it, any type of movement makes it skip, so obviously I will not be using it for walking, jogging or running! It also sounds terrible! I have so many cd's, I could actually open up my own store, so I tried several different ones, and most of the cd's that I tried wouldn't even play until the end of the cd! It would stop playing the cd after only a couple of songs! And don't try to fast forward, skip or rewind because it simply does not work at all, it just shuts it off. In one day I changed the batteries 3 times! If I hadn't thrown away the original packaging, I would have returned it, because it is certainly not worth the $24.88 I spent on it. I can guarantee I will never be purchasing another product from the GPX brand.

Update: my sister dropped this twice. The first drop the spring for the lid to open on its own, popped out - but no biggie - everything still worked fine. It fell off a work table when someone moved her stuff out of the way not realizing they were pushing her player too. The 2nd time it fell, the little hook of the latch on the door broke off. I tried to fix it, being it wasn't covered in the warranty, but because of the type of plastic it is it wouldn't adhere back together. Either that or there were minute pieces missing. I started looking for another one - but this seems to be the only brand, that has anti-skip, drop, and other great features for a person who seems to be hard on her electronics. However the price jumped up tremendously since we had last bought it. Plus one of the battery springs had corroded & we're not sure why that happened. Really puzzling there being the batteries weren't corroded or any other parts. Recently (March 2023),i was looking at them again and saw that the price had been reduced - most likely because the company has a newer model now. But then I saw that Amazon warehouse was selling or rather reselling this at a lower price, "claiming" that the product was like new - in working condition. That the packaging may be open. So being I have had good results previously with products being remanufactured or fixed/repaired for reselling I took the chance... However, I cannot recommend Amazon's employees for thoroughly checking a product to see if it actually works as it should. The product turns on, the CD mechanism appears to work - but we couldn't find my sister's cds at the time to see if it actually plays. The radio switch worked - However... & this is a BIG however, it wouldn't tune to other stations. It was literally stuck on one station. I ended up removing the radio board from the newer unit & replacing it with the one my sister had in hers. Due to my experience with building & fixing computers, I was able to finally give her a working product. At least until we find her little case of CDs. Shame on Amazon's employees for not thoroughly checking this player. I feel they owe me a refund, or owe me for actually fixing what they should have! Or as my parents said - hire me to thoroughly check & fix these little personal CD & FM radio players! 😂 My sister was looking for a cd player that she could use at home with her headphones. She has a boom box that has one but the outlet does not work on it and she does not have much space on her desk. This was the perfect answer. She loves it as it works well and plays all her Discs with music. The only reason there are 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the batteries don't last very long, and it's not like she uses it hours on end. So she constantly needs batteries. If they could make it use less energy that would give 5 stars. The price was affordable for myself, and I am hoping that isn't the reason for battery consumption.

Working fine, the only issue is that it doesn't have a power adaptor. You should use batteries. got rechargeable ones and have no issue now

Me encantó el reproductor es justo lo que buscaba, algo practico y sencillo, viene con unos audífonos pero parecen de baja calidad y no los he usado, utilizo unos un poco mejores, el reproductor sin problema reproduce los CD, no he probado eso de que se corte la canción pero es que no lo uso ni corriendo ni caminando, pero me ha funcionado bien, utiliza dos baterías AA no incluidas, yo uso recargables sin ningún problema, viene con una entrada para corriente pero esa no la he usado. El reproductor también incluye sintonizador de radio FM así que escucho radio sin problemas, el único detalle que le veo es que cuando sintonizas la radio no aparece en la pantalla la frecuencia de la estación así que tienes que estar adivinando, en el caso del reproductor de CD si aparece el número de track y la duración. En fin, estoy satisfecho con el producto, es algo básico pero satisface mis necesidades, lo recomiendo.
