Ball Jar Ball Heritage Collection Pint Jars with Lids and Bands, Purple, Set of 6

The purple jars are very rich and pretty, almost an amethyst color. The other two colors are lighter. The green is not quite Coke-bottle color, more Mountain Dew. The blue is almost an electric blue - not what I would expect to see in a vintage jar.In shape and form these jars are about the same as regular Ball mason jars - they hold a pint, they have the Ball logo on one side (the blue one says "perfect mason," the green and purple say "perfection," and "improved" respectively"), and they have ounce and milliliter measuring marks (on two sides for the blue, and one side for the green and purple). The fourth side says "1913-1915/100 years of American heritage/Made in USA." The jars come with canning lids and rings, and will take Ball storage caps. The plastic caps from most pint and quart sized glass mayonnaise jars also fit.We use Ball jars for drinking glasses (hot and cold) as well as storage, and I've bought a six pack every time a new color came out. They definitely add a bit of elegance to the iced tea. (I really wish the company would extend this for another year and have amber glass jars too).

These jars are the best! They were packaged very well and none of them were broken when I received them.I use them for packaging lunches to take to work. My husband is even able to put milk in them and then put the jar in his backpack without it leaking.I love the purple color -- they're decorative enough to use as drink glasses when I'm feeling especially chic.Be aware that the covers will eventually rust, especially if you put them through the dishwasher. I suppose that hand washing and immediately drying each lid would avoid this, but since these items are fairly cheap to replace, I don't worry about it too much.Definitely recommend this set and will buy again if needed.

I love that these come in purple! My color! I use them to store flour, sugar, brown sugar (actually keeps it soft), etc. I have some of the bigger ones in addition to these smaller ones and they work great for that. They're stackable and easy to fit in a cupboard so I always have flour and sugar easily accessible without having to make a mess with the bags. The jars have proven to be well made and sturdy so far -- just what you'd expect from Bell.And they're purple! Did I mention that?

The jars arrived in a timely manner well packaged and not one of the broken.. They were for my daughter's reception. I was looking for green and purple mason jars, my daughter's colors. She was going for a rustic type setting. She also loves mason jars and so I thought these would be fun. We used them as center pieces with tea lights in them. When I opened them I loved the color but was dissapointed with the size. This was not the company's fault though. I need to learn my canning jar sizes better. But it turned out to be a blessing in the end, they were the perfect size. The candle like tea lights fit in them perfectly. They gave the reception the rustic look she wanted and by adding the tea lights it added the touch of elegance every reception needs. the over all atmosphere was comfortable and fun.

Bottom line up front: I am now a converter to the mason jars. I have seen these on pinterest for years but only now have tried them out and I love them. I recommend these to store your dry goods and they are a much cheaper option than the oxo containers.I wanted to do a little organizing in my kitchen cabinets and was set on buying the oxo containers. Seeing that these were on sale, (not sure if it was because of the purple color), I decided to pick these up. The following are my thoughts regarding this product.**Pros1. Storage - I love these to store my dry goods. I bought a huge container of baking soda and wanted to store them in more manageable containers. Once I got the baking soda in the mason jar, I started converting all of my dry goods in the other mason jars. I place my sugar and flour and course salt as a result.2. Cheaper - I wanted to get the oxo containers but being that these were greater than ten dollars for one, by the time I was done converting all of the dry goods, I would be well above a hundred dollars. For six of these, I paid less than ten.3. Color - I know not everyone would be a fan of the purple color but since these were on sale, I figured it would be a good way to segregate my different dry goods if I wanted to go the mason jar route. I already have the clear ones on order which I intend to now fill with cookies and chips.**Cons1. Glass - Although I love glass and how you do not get any transfer of taste compared to plastic, they are significantly more heavy. You also have to deal with the possibility of them breaking. If you do not like dealing with glass, the oxo container route may be better for you.

Purple mason jars. You have got to be kidding me. How did I not know about this before? It's two of my favorite things The Color Purple and mason jars! My little sister is getting married this fall and her colors are eggplants and grey. I am throwing her bridal shower and once I saw these I knew I had to have them for the centerpieces. Once I told my mom about him she decided will also use them as wedding centerpieces as well. The only thing that is keeping me from giving these five stars is that ball needs to package these differently. It's not at the fault of Amazon shipping them. But has to do with how ball packages them. The glass rubs against each other which can cause small scuffs. There were marks on every jar. Some worse than others. Overall, not a deal breaker! I will order these again or try to find them locally. The color is a gorgeous deep purple. They are going to look amazing with some white daisy's!

Such a beautiful colour and so pleased with them however 1 jar has a fault in the glass but I will live with it. Delivery was as expected from the USA to the UK (7 days) but before delivery dates advised so 5 stars for the delivery service. Currently dreaming up uses in the house (so many places to put them) and garden (solar light jars?!) as decoration pieces rather than using as preserving jars. May just have to buy another set!!

Just arrived safe and sound. The outer box was a bit torn but the contents are not damaged. Love the colour (purple) and will be great for many uses from jams to chutney and would even make lovely little vases for my sweet peas freshly picked from my allotment. Love them and may order more as I do like the green colour too. Would recommend this seller and the jars.
