Pro Grade - Acid Brushes - 36 Count 3/8 Inch Boar Hair Acid Flux Brushes

I am a high school stained glass teacher, and these are my go-to brushes for flux. We go through a lot of them, and the handles rust, but we get a lot of life out of them before they die. You can extend their life by soaking them in a rust remover or use steel wool it to remove it.

I received these acid brushes in good order, purchased for the purpose of using these for application of brake caliber lube, applying soldering flux when sweating copper pipe, or spreading cleaning solution on an automotive car part as needed. Overall, decent quality. Bristles are sturdy for the couple I randomly picked out to test. I think the value per cost of this package is very fair… better than big-box “hardware” chains, for sure. Only thing I would possibly improve upon is packaging - it would be great if it came in a zip-lock type resealable plastic bag… but this is a low distractor from me to keep from buying them again (they fit pretty perfect in a quart sized Ziploc bag 🙂), which I’d definitely would… buy again. I’m happy with this purchase.

Great to have around for cleaning stereo equipment, electronics and fishing reels and who knows what else - Bristles kinda fall out but that's to be expected with a brush at this price.

I use these for wood glue brushes. They work great and don't cost a lot.

Inexpensive brushes you won't hesitate to use as necessary. Good bristles that don't fold and stay flexible but firm.

OK quality so far - but *not* real Boar Bristle. Handles are smaller / shorter than I like. Overall I did not like these as well as others I have purchased. Compared side-by-side with the excellent Horse-hair brushes I purchased at the same time, these are more expensive, smaller, and lower quality and not properly represented. I will not buy again.

These are ubiquitous in soldering situations for a reason. I usually order these every other year and never run out. I've had minimal bristle loss with these, but some loss is inevitable. The brush size and stiffness is adequate for most applications. The price is right for these and plenty for almost anyone.
