There is a point of contention within the biographical materials authored by, both, Philip DeSlippe (in his edition of "The Kybalion") and, also, Clint Marsh, in his (Weiser) edition of "Clairvoyance & Occult Powers." Mr. DeSlippe states that 'Swami Panchadasi' was not, in fact, a pseudonym of William Walker Atkinson; Clint Marsh states, just as confidently that, in fact, it WAS... that the volumes that Panchadasi (AND Swami Vishita) put out were, in fact, the works of William Walker Atkinson. I have now read all of these works - Panchadasi's & Vishita's - multiple times and, I must agree with Mr. Marsh: the "Aura" of William Walker Atkinson is all over these books.I recommend them in publishing order: Panchadasi wrote three significant volumes, "The Human Aura," this volume "The Astral World" and, the capstone of the three, "Clairvoyance & Occult Powers." They track the same topic - the same aspects of that topic - in order from most basic to most astoundingly advanced. This (second) one, if you get an antiquarian version like the three I've had, you will find the occasional typo problem, specifically misplaced lines-of-type, wherein the line you just read goes to another line in the next paragraph, reverts back to the next line in your original paragraph, etc etc. They are obviously issues of the original typesetter that were never corrected &, as a result, have carried over to every public-domain photocopy edition I've ever seen. They are not that big of a deal, easily accounted for & overcome. The material itself is far more important. And the three books DO work as a trilogy, in the order I stated. The last, "Clairvoyance," is an extremely advanced bit of instruction that has had a BEAUtiful, Labor-of-Love reprint done by Weiser & edited by, the aforementioned, Clint Marsh. Can't recommend his reprints enough, PLUS, I highly recommend the 3 Panchadasi works to go hand-in-hand with Clint Marsh's own, "Mentalist's Handbook." It is Mr. Marsh that states that Panchadasi was William Walker Atkinson and, one reason I strongly agree with this is that this one, particular, volume - "The Astral World" - is, indisputably, a slightly more advanced version of Yogi Ramacharaka's own, Yogi Publication Society printing of, "The Life Beyond Death," and all contenders are agreed that "Ramacharaka" was, indeed, William Walker Atkinson. You can see that those two books are almost identical volumes, content-wise, structure-wise but... it is clear that the 1916 Panchadasi volume has gone beyond the 1912 Ramacharaka volume in terms of sophistication... knowledge-level... information-to-impart, just enough to justify a new volume being printed. Now, I mentioned that the Panchadasi books work as a trilogy. They require "The Kybalion" of the "Three Initiates" as a foundation piece; that gives you the logical basis (along with the not-to-be bypassed Ramacharaka Cycle (about 10 volumes)) for sure-footedness on The Path - that the Panchadasi works (along with "The Mentalist's Handbook") help hand-hold you to a high-enough plateau that you might just have the stamina to attempt Swami Vishita therewith. And always qq.v. Mabel Collins, "Light on The Path."Those works I mentioned - all of them - all together constitute the stepping-stones of The Path. I consider all off of them inescapably essential; everything else is scenery... well... except Mozart and Ambrose Bierce. And speaking as the only True Solipsist ;-) I can't be argued with due to the unassailability of My Logic ;-) :-) :-D

Fantastic
I am just beginning to re-read about 'astrality' with more matured eyes, although I have roots in several esoteric directions. This is a field that might make one feel incredibly small in face of the vastness of its almost limitless dimensions, but in the company of Panchadasi these dimensions shrink to a humanly bearable size, and even become and exhilarating discovery of the power we are destined to unfold. The author literally guides us through the most amazing gift we could ever imagine: a multidimensional point of view obtainable only through the abandonment of ego, restructuring of faulty creeds and the earnest desire to see the complexities of Nature, that can be satisfied only with the fearless guilt-free innocence that is our birthright and a necessary state for evolution.

Informative
This book has a lot of detail regarding the finer and grosser vibrational dimensions. It is NOT a guide on how to Astral Travel, but a necessary resource for anyone interested in the Astral World.

its ok,
its ok...just almost too short to bother with. Also this guy wrote in about 30 different pen names which cast an unfavorable light on his work.

Was ok read
I thought I would learn much more about the astral plane since I read other comments. I seemed to know a lot of the information. I did learn more in depth about shells around people when they pass. Will search for another book where author doesn't demean the lack of knowledge of others.

Enjoying The Astral Worlds
I really enjoyed this little book! As Swami Panchadasi says it is to be read over and over. Here is a little secret I discovered about this book. There are no lessons on how to Astral Travel. But as you carefully read the Book Swami Panchadasi will personally meet you and open up The Astral to you. I have read many books on Astral Travel and this is another great book that has expanded my Journeys into The Hundred Fold Greater life That was Promised By Jesus Christ
