Warning: this dvd-rw unit is for use with a specific computer model by Lenovo
Below was my first take on the item:"There is something really wrong with the dvd-rw unit received. The “disc cradle” (wherein one puts the dvd/cd) simply is upside down (looks like someone inverted the position of the cradle at the factory). Otherwise, the drive seems to be working. But this situation is not acceptable for aesthetical and functionality reasons."Upon further investigation, it seems that is how this unit was originally designed. Apparently it is supposed to be used/attached to a particular Lenovo computer model.

I actually purchased this as my external drive for my Lenovo Legion laptop.. works perfect

Dead on arrival
Unresponsive. Won't even play its own installation CD. Tried to use it with two different Lenovo PCs; didn't work at all on either one. Returned for refund.

Die übliche Lenovo-Qualität ohne jede Beanstandung - wurde eigentlich für das Zusammenspiel eines ThinkCentre M93p und dem Vesa-Mount bestellt - Passt NICHT dazu und musste deshalb zurückgeschickt werden - Amazon typisch ohne jedes Problem !
