The Ultimate Retirement Gift to Myself: DIY Projects and Accessibility!
After retiring, I decided to revisit my passion for woodworking and DIY projects. Purchasing the DEWALT 10-Inch Table Saw has proven invaluable not only for my hobby but also in my role as a caregiver for my elderly father. I initially bought it intending to create smaller woodworking projects, but quickly realized how useful it could be for making our home more accessible for Dad. The saw itself is excellent—powerful, precise, and sturdy. With its solid rolling stand and precise rack-and-pinion fence, I felt confident and safe as a hobbyist woodworker. I managed to construct a wheelchair ramp for our front porch and even modified furniture to accommodate Dad’s limited mobility. The ease of setup and operation allowed me to complete these projects efficiently and accurately, significantly enhancing our living environment. Beyond just the practical benefits, the DEWALT table saw has provided personal satisfaction and enjoyment. Engaging in these DIY projects not only improved my father’s quality of life but also gave me a fulfilling and productive outlet during retirement. This saw has been worth every penny, enhancing my caregiving experience and reigniting my enthusiasm for woodworking.

Best purchase in a long time. (don't tell the wife)
Extremely impresses with the build quality. Pros: - Great for small garage/shed workshops - MAJOR upgrade over my 10" Delta Bench-top table saw. - Able to make 24in rip cuts (and up to 32.5 inch rip cuts) on plywood with ease. - Very sturdy base - Stand collapses for portability and storage. - Quick jobsite or home shop setup - Storage for included Push-stick. - Built in storage for anti-kickback pawls, blade guard and/or riving knife - Can use 8 inch dado set stack up to 13/16" thick Cons: - Some assembly required; doable by 1 person, but a second person helping is much easier. Summary: I highly recommend. I would purchase it again... wish I would have purchased it sooner. I've heard some claim that the motor is slow to come up to speed. This power tool as many others do best on a dedicated circuit. Meaning don't overload your breaker trying to run multiple tools, dust collector, compressor, AC, heater or the likes all on the same circuit... Additionally, these power-tools don't like extension cords that are underrated. I.e. if you are going to use and extension cord, use at least a 20amp cord. Note: Purchased on sale for $509 Nov 2024 - Miter is decent but you may want to upgrade.

Great solid Table Saw
Great table saw and easy to use. Not necessarily easy to assemble with the legs but everything lined up. Stand is essentially solid although I can see, if not treated with a certain amount of care, the legs will suffer a failure----but then again this is not a Heavy duty unit. The stand does not wobble and is firm----big sheets of plywood need two people or at least a good outfield table. The motor is strong and its easy to align and get nice cuts. The mobility of the saw is fantastic and while you have to have your technique for either dropping the unit to the wheels and as well into upright position to work, the unit is well balanced to do both.

DeWalt Nailed It
With this saw DeWalt seems to have achieved the Holy Grail: a portal saw with a bunch of clever features that also cuts beautifully and accurately. All at a low price. It’s way more than enough for the contractor market, easy to adjust and very transportable. The surprise is that is that it’s also enough for most woodworkers, maybe all woodworkers. A $5,000 half-ton saw has some benefits but in my opinion they’re mostly outweighed (pun intended) by the portability and cost of this saw. This saw leaves a beautiful cut. Does the $5,000 saw leave an even nicer cut? Maybe, maybe not. You’re going to take the wood from the table saw to the jointer anyway, or if you’re like me you’re going to shave off a few thousandths of an inch with a jointer hand plane, which leaves a surface no table saw can beat. The fence is accurate and adjustable. Both the fence and the blade can be made exactly parallel to the miter slots. It’s easier to break down sheet goods on the big, $5,000 saw, but that’s what circular saws and track saws are for. The longer in-feed and out-feed surfaces on the large saw are great, but it’s also easy to build them for your shop, or even to use portable rollers on a temporary basis. This saw has plenty of power. I’m sure there’s a job that a very large saw can do that this can’t do, but that’s true at any level. This saw doesn’t have the SawStop safety feature. Having used table saws for many years, I think the SawStop is more of a gimmick. Not because it doesn’t work and save some fingers, but by far the most dangerous thing about the table saw is the risk of kickback. This saw has a great riving knife. I bought one of those after-market Grr-Rippers for extra protection. The first thing every new woodworker asks is “Which table saw to buy?” With this saw I think DeWalt has changed that entire conversation, and not just for beginners.

Love the saw, hate the stand
I've had this table saw for over two years and have used it for numerous projects with great success. There are a lot of really nice and handy features that make using it a lot easier. Dewalt did a really good job of providing storage for the saw's accessories. For instance, the push stick stores on the back side of the fence making it easy to use and store. There's a place on the back of the saw for the miter gauge that's easy to access. I particularly like the way Dewalt stores the guide fence. It's stored below the table which keeps it out of the way when you are storing the saw. The only disappointing aspect of the saw is the stand that comes with it. It has four legs that need to be individually extended and the needing the saw to pulled upright. While it does provide a solid base for the saw, it really impedes the portability of the saw. To move it from one jobsite location to another, the saw first needs to be put in its storage configuration, moved to the new location and then go through the set process again. Dewalt makes a collapsible stand for their miter saws that allows the saw to be easily moved from one location to another. Unfortunately, there isn't one available for their table saws.

Good saw. Could use some storage underneath.
I like the saw. My only complaint is that there is no place to store the miter gauge or spare blades. There is room enough under the saw - I may come up with a solution on my own. There are some minor issues with the rip fence, but it still gets 4 stars. Before I bought it, I was unsure about the folding legs, but they are sturdy and make it possible to store the saw along a wall and free up space for other stuff in my cramped work shed.

Absolutely yes
Got it for my wife for Christmas and she was as happy as a kid getting a video game console. It’s a powerful machine that’s perfect for her projects. Very easy to move around. Was a challenge building. DEWALT needs to get better at directions, but that’s common with them. But this table saw is a beast and it was a great buy.

Love this thing
Love this thing. Starts up quickly, cuts like a dream and stop quickly as well. Fairly quiet for a table saw. More quiet than my rigid. Most of the dust goes out the dust collector shoot. The wheels are a nice addition and it folds right out. Also able to cut a very large section of plywood with how far the fence goes out. Seems very sturdy. Great saw and value for the money.
