This is the best stuff ever!!
This is not your every day clear protector, do you have some special wood that you want to protect and bring the color out of? This is the best stuff on the market!! I have been using this for 20 years! I put this on my burl wood, teak, cherry, it brings out colors you never would imagine.

Terrific finish for interior projects.
I have been using profin satin for 25 years. This is one of the best kept secrets in finishing. Terrific product. Beautiful finish. Easy to use (wipe it on - let it stand for a while- wipe it off. Put as many coats as you want (more coats provide a deeper look). This is my "go to" finish for furniture. For I Outdoor projects that require more durability and protection I use their Seafin version.

Beautiful Finish.
We've used this product on all the woodwork in our house and it produces a lovely finish. It is easy to apply, but it is crucial that you don't just slather it on in one thick coat. You won't get a good result that way. You need to apply the product, let it sit for just a short while (time varies depending on the weather/ temperature) and then wipe it down with a lint free cloth. Wait until that coat sets up and then apply another coat. It is very simple, but I have been surprised a couple of times when I have had people "help" me and seen them make a mess of it. So, having said that, I do highly recommend this product.

not the good product it used to be in 2011.
Easy to use. Great looking results. Does not crack when dented like lacqers do. lower odor compared to other solvent based coatings. can be cleaned with palmolive dish soap, at least it works for me. Clean brush right away, dont wait 3 minutes to start cleaning. Quite durable. Nice looking, nice feeling. Would be better if available locally, rather than having to mail order. Wish a flat sheen was available. have used this product for more than 10 years and intend to keep on using because i am so pleased with product from start to finish. This is not a finish for impatient person who want finish done in 1-2 hours. Will take some time to dry and apply 2nd and 3rd coats. I have tied several waterborne finishes, but they cannot produce as nicely as profin. if you want clean clear with no yellowing, this is not fot you. I have use bristle brush and foam brush to apply. I prefer foam brush. Another similar product is dalys seafin.WARNING! This stuff is garbage! The profin i bought up 2011 was excellent. The profin i bought in 2015 is poor. Profin is not what it used to be. I will not buy this again. Repeat garbage. This used to be a 5 star product. It used to flow out, self level and give great look and feel with 3-4 coats. It has gone from a great performer to disappointing performer. I suspect the recipe has changed since 2011. The way it is working for me right now tempts me to rate it at 1 star.

Great Stuff !!!
ProFin and SeaFin Teak Oil are both great products. I used both on the interior and exteriors of several sailboats. ProFin for cabin soles / counter tops and Seafin for the cabinets. SeaFin is easy to apply and you can get a profession hand rubbed finish if you take the time to experiment with various applications. ProFin takes a little practice, and I highly recommend thinning if you have larger panels to cover or the can is going to be open for any length of time. It sets up quick. I'm going to trying spraying ProFin in the weeks to come on a new project.
