I have been looking for a really good screen to go with the MacBook Air with the new M1 chip for a few months. There is so much choice it is actually quite baffling to try and make a choice.I am not into gaming so didn't really want one that was biassed too much in that direction. I do however play about with photos and graphics so did want something that would be reasonably colour accurate and be easy on the eyes with a 27inch screen.I was also keen to future proof my investment as far as possible with fast connectivity so wanted a screen that I could connect to via either usb-c or thunderbolt as well as Hdmi.Ok so having finally decided on this one my first impression when it arrived was very good with it being really nicely packaged with lots of cables and a stand that was really nicely made as well as being simple to assemble.First I connected with the USB-C cable provided which should be noted is very short only 1/2 metre so I had to have my laptop virtually under the screen which was not ideal. On the plus side the picture was really impressive from the off particularly compared to my 18 year old 22 inch Samsung!Other than a quick start guide the paperwork is fairly non existent however all you need is on the web.Next I tried to set up their control software only to find that it is not yet compatible with the new Apple M1 chip!Next I thought that I would try and connect via the longer Hdmi cable using my Letscom hub however initially the screen failed to find it. At this point I turned for help to the online Benq chat facility and have to say that I found them really responsive and helpful. They said that I would need to use a genuine Apple hub and linked to one which I duly purchased for another £70!. Once it arrived I was concerned to find that it still didn't work however following another chat online found that I had to set the screen to look just at the HDMI input rather than scanning for any input!.All worked well for a while but then I started getting random yellow flood screens so gave up and ordered a longer usb-c to usb-c cable and I am now running with without issue.All in all the quality of the picture has won me over, I have been told that tech people are working on an update for their software that will work with the M1 chip and all seems good with the usb-c cable.

Sono un videomaker e fotografo non professionista ma molto esigente. Serve monitor 4k, non serve di meno. Quindi 27" è una misura adatta. Serva che veda con precisione e completezza gli spazi colori sRGB e DCI-P3. Se non vede al 100% AdobeRGB non è così importante per me. Deve essere affidabile, cromaticamente fedele e uniforme su tutto lo schermo. Vi sembra poco? E' difficile trovare un monitor che risponda perfettamente a questi requisiti. Ma io l'ho trovato! Una spesa intorno ai mille euro, tra i meglio spesi per la mia attrezzatura.

Monitor con un acabado premium. Tiene una calidad de imagen de primer nivel. Lo mejor la calibracion que trae de fábrica y la amplitud de espacios de color que soporta.Lo que menos me ha gustado. Que aunque sea compatible con HDR, es un hdr bajo, simplemente cumple con ser compatible. Pero por el precio que tiene no se le puede pedir mas.

Il BenQ PD2720U è un ottimo monitor 4K con una resa dei colori fantastica ma ha alcune piccole pecche.Prima di tutto l'illuminazione non è omogenea, come si può vedere nella foto, e soffre, come tutti i pannelli IPS, dell'effetto glow visibile sopratutto sugli angoli inferiori. L'angolo di visione è buono, solo se ci si avvicina troppo al monitor (20-30 cm) il bianco può tendere leggermente al rosa verso i bordi del monitor ma è appena visibile questo effetto.Ho testato e calibrato il monitor con un colorimetro e i colori risultano perfetti mantenendo un delta-E in media di 0,43 e al max 1,23. Con la calibrazione di fabbrica il punto di bianco non è perfetto è tende a 6700-6800K, il delta-E medio passa a 0.9 con max 1,33.Calibrazioni e test li ho eseguiti usando il profilo colore AdobeRGB, il migliore per questo monitor in quanto offre una copertura del 100% mantenendo il miglior rapporto di contrasto di 1070:1. Cambiando profili il contrasto può calare a 900:1. Ricordo che questo monitor copre anche il 100% sRGB e 96% DCI-P3.Ho avuto modo di provare una seconda unità grazie al servizio di assistenza BenQ; purtroppo il monitor che mi hanno spedito sembrava usato! Il punto di bianco in questo caso tendeva a 6300-6400K ma la perfezione dei colori veniva comunque mantenuta. Confermato invece il problema sull'illuminazione citato prima.Alcune note dolenti:- non è possibile aggiornare il firmware del monitor se non portandolo in assistenza- il software Display Pilot, molto completo, non prevede l'uso di profili ICC calibrati dall'utente con ICC sync attivoUna delle peculiarità di Display Pilot è proprio quella di cambiare profilo ICC a secondo della modalità colore impostata sul monitor. La modalità Utente 6500K, per sfruttare tutto lo spazio colore di questo monitor che va oltre AdobeRGB, è completamente inutilizzabile in quanto i grigi tendono al rosa. L'unico modo è non avviare Display Pilot e impostare manualmente il profilo ICC calibrato sul sistema.Calibrando il monitor su spazio colore Utente 6500K però abbiamo dei delta-E lievemente maggiori: media 0,92 e max 4,37! Alcuni colori non riesce a riprodurli con fedeltà (una tonalità di ocra e azzurro). Il consiglio rimane quello di usare uno spazio colore standard tra quelli disponibili.L'Hotkey Puck G2 è molto comodo per modificare le impostazioni del monitor o per cambiare rapidamente spazio colore visto che abbiamo 3 pulsanti configurabili; si può utilizzare anche senza avviare Display Pilot ma non avremo la sincronizzazione dei profili ICC con quello impostato sul monitor.Tutte le calibrazioni le ho eseguite fissando una luminosità di 160 cdm. La luminosità massima arriva a circa 330 cmd.E' un monitor flicker-free dunque non stanca gli occhi anche con un uso prolungato.Per finire il comparto audio decisamente è scarso, va bene solo per meeting ma decisamente non per ascoltare musica.Nel complesso rimane un ottimo monitor sopratutto per la definizione, resa cromatica, un software di gestione completo e la staffa di supporto in metallo!Una alternativa a questo monitor potrebbe essere il Viewsonic VP2785-4K, che dovrebbe montare lo stesso pannello ma offre una calibrazione hardware, ovvero il profilo ICC calibrato (LUT 3D) viene registrato nel monitor stesso.
