So first the good - this is ridiculously powerful. I almost never need to have it at full blast. For stir-frying it works well.The bad: as the previous reviewer mentioned it pulses heavily at low power. Worse than this from my point of view is that the induction coil only heats a thin ring around the wok bottom, so anything on this ring gets possibly burned - in other words you need to make sure you are moving the food around constantly.One thing I wish is that I could find a good thick stainless steel round bottom work to buy to help tansfer the heat more evenly.

lowest power output is 500w which pulses on and off to attain that low wattage. this can be a bit annoying. Max is 3000w. This will indeed work at 240v north american voltage. as in 2 individual 120v legs.
