Q: How much does the 6-quart Dutch oven weigh?

5 pounds, 13 oz...We LOVE IT. It is our "go to" cooking pan, including finishing dishes by transfering to oven to Baker!

Q: Can it be used on a glass, or smooth, cook top?

The company says yes to gas, electric and induction. We use ours on a glass top induction and they are great. Have also used them on our propane camp stove with no issues. Be carful sliding any pan around on the glass tops, you can get scratches.

Q: Is this product the same as the vistaclad ceramic non-stick 6 qt. dutch oven with lid sold through crate and barrel?

It does look similar, Crate and Barrel state on website it is an "Exclusive" so there may be some minor modification / update from the product on Amazon. These are great pans to cook and I have several in the range, which I use on an electric glass cook top. However, I have found after a year of use and being put in the dishwasher the coating around the rim is starting to flake away, so wherever you get them make sure they will cover this on an exchange warranty.
