It's a measuring tape
Not metal case,is plastic. I don't care either way but maybe someone else will. Works as it should, good price. Affordable and decent quality. Easy to use and has a nice lock/unlock feature.

Great product. Horrible, stubborn packaging.
I lost my prior Stanley tape measure that I owned and loved for decades. So I bought this to replace it. Unfortunately, it took me about 10 minutes working with scissors and a pair of pliers, to get the thing released from its stubborn hard plastic packaging. It took some real skill on my part to figure out it out, and I had other things to do with my time. Finally got it free! Yay.
