Could this be used in a van? Would the drawers open easy if your turn a corner?

I’ve transported it in my car a couple of times and the drawers open easily even when weighted down with nuts, bots and nails. So probably not suitable for a moving van!

would this be suitable for storing Lego bricks please?

Yes, but it's not very big. You wouldn't get many Lego bricks in the drawers.

What is the overall size of the unit

26x24x15 and 48x24x15 are the 2 sizes that I have

The description says that drawers do not come out, but is it possible to take them out as this makes things easier to use?

Yes the drawers can come out. Also the dividers in the drawers can come out too to create a larger storage drawer
