Good, but not the best
The Erwins Are well constructed. tight tolerances. Smooth operation with good spring action. Cutting jaws are aligned well, so it cuts everything from heavy tie wire, to mason line, to garden string.I was disappointed when tying bailing wire, it doesn’t have the grip jaw on handle side by the spring (for getting leverage on a long-streach when you need to pull slack out the wire)I’m satisfied with the purchase, but next time, I’ll go back to channel lock brand for $10 more. The channel lock design is just ergonomically prefect for tying wire.Erwin took a good stab at the design, but missed the mark by a hair.I think they’re built to last, we’ll see.It took me 16 years to wear out my channel locks...
