The use of medicated foods is the only way to effectively treat internal disease. And under certain conditions using a single drug does not have the desired effect. Our Anti-Parasite Duo 2.5 mm Pellet combines metronidazole with praziquantel. This combination has shown to be more effective than using each on its own. Metronidazole is an anti-protozoan treatment and praziquantel is a broad spectrum deworming treatment. This combination covers a variety of parasites in the gut. Shown to treat hexamita, Malawi bloat, body slime, chilodonella, freshwater ich, epistylis, schistosoma, liver flukes, gill flukes, flat worms, tape worms and turbellarians. Treatment: Begin with a water change of 25% or greater. Then feed 1-2 times a day for 7-10 days. May be repeated if necessary. Can also use concurrently with Epsom Salt and elevated heat (86F/30C or higher) to clear out the gut more efficiently. Medicated pellets are made to order to ensure medication does not age sitting on our shelves and lose potency. Not intended for human consumption or use on fish intended as food or sport fish.

Great medicine in the food
The 1 mm pellets smell like their regular food and gobble it up fast. The 2.5 mm pellets don’t smell as good as them. And the fish don’t eat it like the 1mm. It cleared all the intestinal parasites once they ate it.
