Battery fully charged out the box!!
UPDATE #2: Contact with customer service with UClear was excellent. Emailed them, 24 hours later they responded. Sent them the information they wanted and they sent me a new set of speakers free of charge, priority delivery. I am so pleased with the customer service from UClear. One never knows what one is going to run into with regards to that. The new speakers showed up within 3 days from notification from them on the tracking number. New speakers work great, haven't had a chance to get them on the bike as of yet though.UPDATE: the right speaker has developed a very annoying intermittent-ness. One second will be working great, next it cuts out, next it is scratchy sounding. Have contacted Uclear about the issue. Time will tell what they have to say about it. Will update as time goesWas very impressed with the product. Only have about an hours use so far. Hoever, right out of the box it was fully charged. Within 15 minutes I had it linked to my Android phone and installed into my helmet. Was on the road a little after that. Speaker quality: not the best, not the worst. Can listen just fine, but for an additional $100 they could have put in some great speakers, just tough to do at this price point, good enough for me though. Talking on the phone was great. Haven't fiddled with the settings much yet..however, the couple people I have talked to while riding could hear my bike but said it sounded like a bike in the distance. Need to fine tune the settings though due to some extremely slight echo in the sound.Overall the product is amazing. 5 out of 5 would by again. Have already told my friends about it and some are interested in getting it.

Easy setup, great battery life, superb sound quality.
Upgraded from a Sena Q2 pro which was old enough the battery would no longer charge.UClear Motion 6 has easy setup, great sound quality. I have found the motion controls work well, I don't have any false positives unless I am trying to flip my modular helmet open and it reads that as a signal. Buttons are easy to push and easily identifiable with gloves on.Sound quality is fantastic, and the microphones do great on phone calls. Much better than having a boom mike sticking out in front or me and messing around with it all the time.App is clean and functional, but formatted a bit oddly for my Samsung S9+. Works well. Firmware updates OTA worked without issue also.Battery life is great - have been riding 3 times this week and insignificant battery drain.Recharge is USB-C which I hugely appreciate - this matches my phone charger, so only 1 charge cord type to carry. When turned on links quickly with my phone, no issues.Motion control is neat - but not a 'must have' for me, because the button layout is clean, simple, and works well.Would highly recommend this unit to anyone who wants the great sound quality, and no boom mike.

Premium sound, everything else subpar
I've now had the Motion 6's for about 2-3 years. The sound is best of anything I've tried, and I've had the top of the line Cardo and Scala units, and they just don't compare. I listen to podcasts and audiobooks, rarely music. Even at highway speeds (or in excess of highway speeds) on an unfaired bike, I can still hear the words clearly. I use a full face helmet with foam ear plugs. If I were I just rating the sound quality, they would be an easy 5 stars.HOWEVER, everything else about these is lousy. They are cheaply made, prone to breaking, the attachment point to the helmet is sketchy, and the USB-C that the earphones attach to is quite finicky, and battery life isn't great.I'm on my third set of headphones, because the point where they attach to the unit keeps working its way loose, to the point that I need to constantly mess with it to hear sound out of both speakers. And this set is doing the same thing. Unfortunately it both charges and connects to the headphones in the same port. This means no charging while listening, and it means frequent plugging/unplugging at a known fail point.I've had problems with the unit overheating while charging on several occasions. The last time it happened the housing around the USB-C port actually melted a bit. This happened out of warranty. One of the two large buttons has worked itself loose, so it is no longer waterproof, so no riding with this in the rain any longer.I was lucky to get six hours out of the batteries when it was new. Now four if I'm lucky. Meh. And as I mentioned before, no charging while listening. Not great for long trips. The controls are also clunky and not intuitive. Fortunately all I ever do is listen to audiobooks and answer calls, all on loudest volume, so I don't need many controls. All of these cons aside, this is still the best unit on the market right now due to the incredible sound quality/volume. Even though I think it's a bit of a cheaply made unit with tons of problems, I'd still buy it again. Mine is on its last leg, and I'm holding out buying another unit hoping they will redesign this unit and fix the many deficiencies while keeping the sound quality high.

Really sad they don't make the AMP Plus/Pro anymore
Perhaps it was a defective unit, but holy crap this version is garbage compared to the previous models. The build quality just feels like they skimped out on everything possible, and the sound quality confirmed that. The left ear was completely distorted, not a single volume level allowed it to be clear, and certainly couldn't be heard over my bike. The right ear wasn't as bad, but couldn't handle any low end at all.I highly recommend trying to find an old AMP Pro or Plus, and if you can't then go for the AMP Go. They are way more solid and the mounting brackets are actually made of metal and thick rubber.I didn't even attempt to try the hand gestures, something tells me that would be more aggravating than useful; especially with my gloves on.
