We have an STX38, black deck, riding lawn mower and have used this kit for many, many years. Everything fits like it should and our lawn mower runs like new even though it around 20 years old. This kit is very handy as you don't have to buy the maintenance parts separately. It being genuine John Deere it is slightly overpriced but it's hard to argue with the great results.

A good start for a new season.

The kit contains all the parts for a basic tune-up. For me the only thing that didn't fit was the fuel filter - it was the wrong size.

This is a very convenient way to gather the oil, filters, and spark plug to do a maintenance on your John Deer riding lawn mower. I thought I had ordered the right one, but the air filter in the box is triangular, but the one I have is a canister. Look ahead of time and save yourself some frustration. The idea of the kit is great and having all the "right" stuff is good, but ordering is not necessarily clear.

This came with everything I needed to tune up my STX38. The spark plug was pre-gapped, the oil filter was just right, the filters were perfect (although the gas filter looked flimsy, it seems to be fine), and had 2 quarts of oil.What more does one need?(Belts, but I bought those separately.)

Great one stop shop kit for all the engine maintenance on your mower. I'll be ordering this again for next season.

Most parts fit fine for the Deere LT150. The fuel filter was different than what was already on the mower, but I had spares. The order shipped in it's original box and arrived damaged. The spark plug was inside loosely. No box around it, no protection around the electrode or terminal. Same with the oil filter.
