This work bench rocks!
I wanted a sturdy work bench for my garage. I researched online for a few weeks and I decided to purchase this work bench kit and I'm glad I did. It's a great feature that you can make the bench any size you need up to 8 feet long. I made mine 6 feet long and 30 inches wide, to fit the space I needed. I used one sheet of 3/4 inch oak hard wood plywood for the bench top. Looks great and is very solid! I used two sheets of 5/8 inch regular grade plywood for the middle and bottom shelves. I had the plywood top and shelves cut at home depot 6'X30" and they did it for free. I cut the 2x4's myself at home with my Bosch jig saw, but I could have just as easily used my circular saw. Just remember the long 2x4's are cut to the length of your bench (in my case 6 feet), but the side 2x4's are cut three inches shorter than the width, to fit inbetween the 2x4's that are secured first to the legs for the length. In my case the width of my bench was 30 inches so all the side 2x4's were cut to 27 inches. Everything fit perfect. I had fun making the bench and I can't get over how sturdy it is. I used the long screws that came with the kit to mount the 2x4's which are plenty strong, believe me. The screws for the top are really meant for 1/2 inch plywood or pressed board, so I bought longer screws to secure my 3/4 inch oak top. I would recommend this product to anyone and I would buy another kit if I ever had to make another bench. I might buy another kit to make a 2'x2' stand for my heavy bench top drill press, to make a stand alone drill station. Have fun, I love mine!

Save time and frustration -- use these instead of building your own legs
This is super-simple and sturdy. The legs have little shelves for each board. The recessed top is a nice touch -- the top of the leg comes up past the top of a 2x4, protecting you and your clothing from the potentially sharp corners of the table top.Recommendations for ease of assembly:1. The included screws are too long -- they come out the other side of the wood. Pick up a box of 2.5" Phillips head general purpose screws when you're getting the 2x4s.2. Drill pilot holes for the screws -- depending on the hardness of your boards, it can be VERY hard to screw the screws in without a pilot hole. A 1/8" pilot hole is perfect both for the included screws and the 2.5-inch wood screws sold by the box at hardware stores.3. Clamp the boards to the legs while you're drilling and fastening to ensure that they stay fully butted up against the inside of the leg and to overcome the inevitable twisting from pre-warped 2x4s.4. The best way I found to line up the first board of each long side with the legs was to set up a pair of sawhorses with a chunk of 2x4 lying on top of each, and lay the top board atop that. With my sawhorses, that brought the top board to the perfect height for sliding into the top of the leg.I made an 8x4 table, and I plan to add a cross piece under each shelf, screwed into the middle of the long sides, for support of the large expanse of flat plywood.Note that the shelf supports can be made out of wider boards if you have spare lumber lying around -- 2x6s work fine. You can also make the table taller by using 2x6s, 2x8s or 2x10s as the top board.

Screws missing
Received this without the screws and hardware. Box was intact.

A Great Product!
As someone who has a goal of trying to clean up his work area, this bench will certainly help. The frame is easy to put together. My only issue on that since the screws are placed in pre -drilled holes in the corner frames, it is difficult to adjust. My bench was to go in a pretty tight location and this made it difficult to attach on leg as well as the others, (bad angle for my drill). I toenailed the boards from the other side and it was fine. Also the shelf between the top and bottom shelves is only about 22 inches. It would better server to perhaps be a little more higher. Overall, though, very happy with this product at a very reasonable price.

Great Legs!!!
I was a bit apprehensive buying "plastic" legs for my work bench. When I pulled them out of the box, they appeared to be quite sturdy and they were very easy to use to assemble the work bench. I used 5/16" bolts and large washers to prevent pull-out to attach legs to my 2x6 frames. The legs really made the job easier. I only wish the company hadn't decided to increase the price significantly as I would have purchased a couple more sets for different projects around the farm. Great product!

LOVE, LOVE MY WORKBENCH KIT/LEGS
This was the third workbench kit I have bought. The first two came from a different supplier but, that really makes no difference. This is a super strong, durable set of legs that I expect to last forever! I am using the first 2 sets in my craft room with laminated kitchen counter tops and a bottom shelf made from plywood . One of these tops is 8 feet long and the other is 6 feet long. You can make your work surface any length you need! The most recent set is holding up a 2 x 4 butcher block top (that took two grown men to lift it) and plywood shelving on the bottom. This workbench is 7 feet long and is being used in the garage. We first purchased these legs because we knew we would have to disassemble this work surface to move one day. We have recommended this system to more than one friend and one family member actually bought themselves the legs and the shorter support legs to add shelves to the top of their work surface. These legs are awesome!
