All have been house dogs but they are around relatives' and neighbors' dogs frequently and are outside in our backyard or on walks often. I have never seen a flea, even though some months I have completely forgotten to apply the product. In more than 20 years, I think we have had a dog show up no more than 3-4 times with a tick crawling on it or barely attached (probably during one of those months I forgot to apply). I really like using K9 Advantix II because 1) it works 2) it's easy to apply one a month) 3) dogs don't mind it and it's non-irritating to their skin and 3) it's a topical application and not some drug the dog has to take. Normally we get Frontline but it gave all of our dogs a rash last time. So we were out to try a new product. This one got rid of the fleas and no rash this time.
