Excellent! Easy to use and comfortable in either hand. Blade locks securely.
Olfa makes cheaper knives that work well too. This is a premium tool for people who enjoy using very high quality tools. It is more comfortable to hold than I expected; it's not too fat. The aluminum in the handle prevents it from being heavy, and the parts that hold the blade appear to be shiny steel. The adjustment button is very easy to use, and the blade locks securely wherever you set it. I find it easy to use in either hand. I like using excellent tools, and this knife is very satisfying to use. The quality and workmanship in the knife make it a good value.

Classiest snap-off blade you will ever own.
I bought an Olfa snap off blade a while back while in a hurry, its a snap-off blade right, who cares? It was clearly better. I use them in leather crafting and all kinds of odds and ends. The MXP-AL is like if Ferrari made a snap-off blade. I had to have one. There is a small amount of play, as to be expected, but the lock up is solid.

This is the best snap of utility knife I've ever had or seen.
Utility knives are generally made of low cost and quality materials especially if they're made in China. This knife is made in Japan and there are no low quality materials used in this knife. Everything about it screams quality, sturdiness and awesome.I don't see this breaking the moment you drop it.The ergonomics are very nice in the hand. It feels solid. The rubber grips are not too grippy. I would feel comfortable keeping this in my back pocket when at work.Overall this is an awesome knife and worth more than I have paid for it. I will buy more to keep in case this ever does break.

Almost perfect large utility knife….unless your a southpaw
This is an almost perfect utility knife. i have many of the smaller all metal olfa utility knives and the one benefit they have over this is that they are designed so the you can reverse the blade and use them left handed, this however, because of the design of both the end where the blade comes out and the part of the laver that holds the blades…cannot be (without some work at a grinder). Otherwise I still love this utility knife, it just requires a little extra fidgeting for my left handed self.

Quality ultility knife
The aluminum build feels great in my hand. It feels sturdy and stable. The blade is super sharp and cuts open every package with ease. Very happy with the quality of the item. And it is nice that it is actually made in Japan.

Excellent product!
Hands down, my favorite utility knife ever! Love the metal, the only thing I can recommend is if you carry it in your pocket a lot, slightly grind down the tip, or otherwise I found out it will eventually try to poke holes into your pocket liner..Also recommend the black ultra sharp blades..
