This is an awesome project or gift for most elementary aged kids. I think older kids would like but would not be as excited as the younger ones. My son wanted this awhile and I bought it for his birthday and he had a lot of fun putting it together and has been watching it grow and makes sure it gets light and water mist every day. I was surprised because he usually is not the best at tasks like that. It includes everything needed but water (even the spray bottle and a stick to help move stuff around in the jar). It’s been about a month working now just fine with the led light and charging and stuff. The wheat grass grew like weeds and the chia seeds seem to be also growing well. Not sure if any seeds were duds as I didn’t count how many planted vs plants but it looks nice. Lush and green and growing out the top holes so needs a trim soon I think lol. The stickers look nice as well and the little figurines are fun. All in all very happy with the purchase and only thing I wish it had was some info about terrariums or some science facts or something but we looked that up online. The instructions were easy to follow also. My son really didn’t need my assistance for any of it. Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day.

Got it for my daughters which are 3 and 6. They enjoy the all proses of putting it together, they love the little toys and the stickers that come with it.And after about 5 days grass already starts growing . Another really nice thing is that they can see the roots. We love it and I definitely recommend it as a present forhome activity with the kiddos

Instructions are clear and simple so my 7.5 years old daughter could handle it on her own, and it kept her busy and engaged for about an hour. Although she followed the directions carefully nothing had sprouted yet :) so I can’t comment on that

I got this as a gift for a couple of little guys, and they LOVED it!! If I can find it again, I will purchase it again for another couple of little guys.

But came without chia seeds.

I bought this for my kids as an activity we can do together to pass the time in days we can’t go out. They loved it! They liked the fact they need to spill things inside the container, they liked to water the seeds and they enjoyed see it grows! I loved the light that came with the container with the stickers it looked magical and my daughter was very excited about her fairy garden :) I loved that I brought a little bit nature home and the kids left the iPad for a little bit.

Bought this for my 5 year old son's bday , he love it! It really grows in just a few days and perfect for kids to get an instant result for understanding the process of planting. He’s learning the responsible of watering daily , which was a bit worrisome for me . But we followed the directions and stuck to it.Also keep in a safe place , careful not to be toiled with, one fall could turn the whole foundation.

I bought the Terrarium kit for my 3 years old. It was perfect activity for us!Easy and fun to put it together, the decorations and stickers that came with it are beautiful and my son loved them.Highly recommend this to quality time. value for money!
