Love a venison option that's pork-free, taste great! I'd give a 5 star except I think the pepper is a bit much and I know others who'd buy it more if it weren't for that. Just make a spicy version lol

I have been a fan of Chomps sticks since I discovered them (they are one of the rare brands, if not the only one, with no added sugar). I eat two or three every day (can eat more but sadly they're not cheap). I tried a few flavors and venison has become my favorite but the taste and texture vary with each new box I buy. The first and second batches were great, the third and fourth were greasy and left a greasy film on the roof of my mouth with a bad aftertaste. But today I bought two from a grocery store and they tasted amazing. I highly doubt that this variability in taste is due to delivery conditions: my last delivery was pretty warm and it might have had an effect on the consistency of the product. It might be a better idea to not buy it in the summer.

I bought the Venison, which is not available from most producers, even here in Maine. We do have a few businesses in Maine that smoke meats for commercial sale. While might produce Venison jerky, I've never seen this style of snack in this flavor. I did a little reading about your snack, and I understand your Venison is sourced from New Zealand, and your beef from Tasmania. The Turkey is from Minnesota and California. My experience of your product is that the meat was flavorful, had a nice texture and the use of seasoning was appropriate. The price is a little higher than what one might pay for the common brand of meat snack in America, but not by too much. I would definitely purchase again for my self or as a gift. The fact that your product is made with such care and with my health in mind is gratifying.

I've been buying these for 6 months, eating roughly 2 sticks a day. It's gone through 2 major downgrades from when I first purchased them. The sticks use to be wonderful, tasted like authentic beef, was nice and fatty. Now it seems like they've put the nastiest cheapest lackluster beef possible inside their sticks and inject some fat to attempt to cover its shortcomings. I give this a 3 star because of how long it was an acceptable product for the price, of which is it no longer. I'll check back and change reviews every so often if they can return to their former glory, as it was a wonderful snack for me and my carnivore diet. Staying away though as they're chasing profits not quality
