I am glad I found it
This is a REALLY nice lock. I'm really glad I found it. I had a golden door knob on my bathroom before, which matched the curtain rods, the mirror, my faucet and my shower rod. It wasn’t broken, but my husband took me out for my birthday and the little restaurant he took me to had one of these door handles with the sign showing if someone is in the bathroom right on the lock. I thought it was a good idea, especially because it was a busy night and I was not bothered by someone trying to break in even once. Funny how we get used to inconveniences like that if they happen all the time. But this was so surreal, not being bothered even once! I really wanted the same peace of mind at home. I have 3 kids and it's impossible to have any time to myself. I love them, but you know. So since it was my Birthday, AND I tasted what peace of mind felt like ironically in a busy restaurant restroom, I started looking these things up. SO glad this one exists. At first my husband wasn't thrilled about the price, but I said we should try it out and if it's not worth it we could return it. I almost regret getting it now because of how much my husband seems to be enjoying HIS peace of mind :P . And the price is definitely worth it. It took my husband 5 minutes to replace the old door knob and this thing is WAY sturdier feeling. It looks and feels expensive. I like how when I turn the knob to lock it it's like a definitive thump, like you KNOW it's locked. Highly recommend!

Poor choice. NOT Commercial quality.
Purchased for the large visible indicator that I have not been able to find on name brand commercial locks. The indicator is good. That is the major positive. The lock itself is pretty light weight, low quality. It feels cheap to operate. Screws exposed. Tiny hex nuts. Smaller diameter cover than commercial.Customers can accidentally lock door on empty bathroom; i.e. the lock button does not release when door pulled shut/plunger depressed. There is really no comparison to an actual commercial lock like a Yale brand.I think this company has great potential if they would make a good quality lock, but I would avoid this one.

Awesome product, glad i finally ordered it.
Insta-customer support worked like a charm. At first it was confusing which side to get, but basically if you're looking at the indicator and the door hinges are on the right, you get the "Right" sided, if the hinges are on the left, you get the "Left" sided. It doesn't matter which way the door opens (in or out), all that matters is if you're looking at the indicator and then at the door hinges, hinges left, Left-sided… I wasn't sure, so I contacted their customer support through their insta-chat on the site. Got that answer in a few seconds. Glad I'm not wasting time returning anything.Lock works as promised with the button and one-move opening to get out (the "ADA" selling point). Looks good too.

Screws
In order to make this handle right hand, you end up with a door knob you have to turn up in order to open the door. Called customer support and they have not returned my call. Do not use the screws that comes with the hardware kit for the door striker plate. Best to get strong screws at the store instead of you’ll end up with the problem I have.

Good looking and feels sturdy
I had an issue with some parts getting damaged during installation. The company too a couple of days to get back to me (it was a around the holidays), but once they understood the problem, the immediately sent out replacement parts.

Sketchy
These units are barely above simple residential units, I'm not expecting a long life span from these units.

The C5F series- meets current California Building Code and fully ADA complaint
These are the only solution we could find that meets current California building code (2021) and are fully ADA complaint. They appear to be well built and were straight forward to install. The only minor irritation is that they are designed for wood doors and so they won't sit fully flush on metal doors. There are small bumps/pins/nipple meant to dig into the wood to prevent the handle from rotating and it is impossible to have the trim (escutcheon) cover the bumps.

Cheap indicator tab breaks after one year; Poor product design and quality
I don't write many reviews, but this product is maddening! We purchased 6 of these supposed commercial grade door locks for bathrooms at our office building. We loved the product while it worked. One indicator stopped working after one year. Then two more stopped working a couple of months later. Very poor value for the money. We are now just waiting for the other 3 to go any day now. We were offered 50% off a complete replacement lock from the manufacturer on the first broken one. On the subsequent other broken indicators, they sent us a replacement indicator tab and referenced a repair youtube video taken in China with no commentary. Attempting to complete the repair was a crazy waste of time. After 30 minutes of pulling apart, replacing the indicator and finally getting it put back together, it doesn't work. The broken indicator tab you can see in the picture is cheap/flimsy and simply breaks off very easily during use. Unless you want a ton of problems later, I would not buy this product.
