GINGER ROOT PWDR CFT ORG

I have been buying Sam's Club Members Mark Organic Ground Ginger for a couple of years now. However, they've been out of stock for quite some time now. So, I went searching for organic ground ginger on the web and was about to purchase another brand when I spotted some of the reviews saying that those other brands looked like they contained sand or some sort of grit in it. Others looked like they were not aromatic enough. Several people said that Frontier Co-op organic ground ginger was much more superior in warmth, flavor, and freshness. Well, I must say I was not disappointed in this purchase at all. As soon as I cut open the bag the nice pungent aroma of freshly dried ginger hit my nostrils right away. I have dehydrated my own organic ginger in the past and then ground it up in my blender. The only thing is that it leaves those annoying hair-like strings in it. While the aroma is very strong doing it myself I don't prefer the ginger "hair strings" and I don't want to have to sift through it again. So, that's why I prefer sourcing a good, freshly ground ginger powder. I have definitely found a keeper for my pantry!

This ginger was very pungent and flavorful. Great for cooking, putting in tea, or chewing a couple pieces for sore throats or indigestion. I prefer this greatly to powdered ginger.

I live in Vietnam and organic ginger isn't available here. I brought a bag of this back from New York and it's exactly what I'd hoped for: the next best thing to fresh organic ginger. Highly recommended.FYI, I also use cayenne from this company and it's GREAT. They seem like the real deal, unlike Starwest Botanicals which is completely hit and (mostly) miss.

It comes in flake form which is great for soups. Put some is a blender to get powder.Very strong ginger.

It is by far more fragrant and pungent than the grocery store powder that you buy, not to mention at a much better price.

I was very excited when my ginger root came in but I may have used too much on my first try. It smelled great, but tasted old, not fresh. I'm not sure how much the amount steeped affects the flavor with dried ginger because I usually boil fresh cut ginger and use quite a bit. Natural Products did deliver on time and as described, they did their part on that score. I will need to experiment with the portions to be sure if I am making the error or if the ginger just isn't as fresh as claimed.

The ease in which I ordered and received this product was great. It's good to be able to depend on a seller.

bought this for use in my elderberry syrup recipe. I think it made a huge difference in the efficacy of my syrup. I normally use fresh, and in a pinch have been known to use powder once, but the dried seems a bit more potent and definitely made the taste of my syrup a bit spicer. I liked the change, the kids had to get used to it! But, to me, spicier means more effective :)
