Great read
In The Cut is the first book that I've read by Author Arlene Brathwaite, and I think she did a great job. I'm still trying to understand the title as it relates to the story line. This book had a mixture of mystery, suspense, and romance. The character of Saint was amazing. He had a job that I don't think just any old ordinary man could do. He had special skills. I am looking forward to reading more about Saint. Will Saint and Olivia have a life together is anyone's guess. Does Josephine finally leave Saint alone? This book definately has part 2 written all over it. If anyone is looking for a great book to read, trust me when I say this book is it. In fact, I enjoyed In The Cut so much that I purchased another book by Author Arlene Brathwaite. It's entitled Youngin. I hope this book is just as good.

Great read
This is my first read from this author, and she did not disappoint. From the description I was not expecting the subject matter of the book to be what it was. It really had it all, suspense, mystery, and a bit of romance thrown in. Saint was an interesting character, really a chameleon of sorts. His occupation was a total shock to me, I didn't see that one coming a mile away. He and Olivia worked well together, I just wish there was more of them together. The ending had me immediately looking for a book 2 because we are sort of left hanging at the end of this one, so I am definitely hoping the author continues this storyline because it was really a good one.

Good Read, but . . .
I don't often write reviews for books (I have purchased about 200 ebooks in the past year and only written 6 reviews), but this book is worthy of a review. I really enjoyed In the Cut. It was my first read by the author. The story was suspenseful and mysterious, but I couldn't get a good mental picture of the infamous Saint. His chameleon ways probably had some impact on that, but I just couldn't picture him based on the description given in the text. I am looking forward to a Part 2 because Saint and Olivia deserve to be together. Hopefully the author will let us know if a Part 2 is on the horizon.

Refreshing read!
I really enjoyed this book. It was not at all what I expected, in a good way. I loved Saint from beginning to end. He always did what he had to do to protect the people he loved. I really think Josephine needed some mental help because she was not all there. The one problem I had was the ending. I felt like the book just stopped and left me hanging and wondering what happened. I'm not sure if there will be a sequel, but if not this book did not end good at all. I will continue to read other books by this author and recommend this book to others.

Who Are You Really?....
Saint/Clayton Andrews is a man of many faces that tries to live a normal life after the dangerous one he walked away from. But the past always seems to surface into the present no matter what is done to keep it suppressed.Keeping his distance from others and his heart guarded he meets Olivia Martin who tears down the barriers he's built to guard his cold heart and warms it.A blast from the past interrupts what the connection they try to make. This was a refreshing action, drama filled mystery with a love story going on in the midst of it all.4

Great Quick Read!!!
As a genre urban fiction is not really high on my reading list. So I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed "In the Cut". Arelene Brathwaite did a great job of introducing lots of twists and turn that keep me engaged and wanting to know more. I read the book in two days because I just couldn't put it down. If you are looking for a entertaining quick read this book is for you.I'm looking forward to reading more about the adventures of Saint and will add this author to my reading list!!!

What a ride..
This the second book I've read from this author. The first book disappointed me, but this one is GREAT! Suspense, intrigue, love and adventure, all great attibutes to make a wonderful book that could easily be adapted in to a screen play. Saint is an African-American version of James Bond with a bad boy rolled into one. There are some great supporting roles with Josephine, Glenn and leading lady -Olivia. A must read if you like a page turner. I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did.

great read!!!
I love the storyline. Olivia Martin meet the debonair Mr Saint at a fashion show that his friend Glenn is showing his new clothing line. Olivia soon falls for Saint who in fact is an assasin who was raised by and fell in love with the nun turned rebel/Josephine who actually raised him in the convent. They run away from an abusive preist into a life of crime. He is retired but his cover is given to the CIA and he goes on the run and in the process has to kill for Josephine and his new love Olivia. Very good story. Will he risk his life to go back to his love? Hope there is a sequel.
