Just what I needed... Until I didn't
I bought this to replace 5 trimmer I got with a set. It works beautifully, and it's super easy. Weight is perfect, looks beautiful, cuts through the wick of my chime candles like butter. Value is perfect. Size is ideal.Two days after I received it, I found the one I lost. So, now I have a backup.

works ok but could be sharper
It works well on trimming already burned candle wicks, but not on new candles. The blades aren't sharp or thin enough to cut through the wax, and just bend the wick from side to side instead of chopping it clean.

These are Helpful
I like that I can easily trim the wick to the recommended 1/4 inch. Candles that are in a jar, or that have burned down quite a bit, are hard to trim with a regular pair of scissors. This gadget snips and catches the sooty wick so that it doen't fall back into the top of the candle, which makes a black mess when you try to fish it out. Happy with this purchase.
