Excellent replacement piece for my shower door. Easy to install

The drip rail that came with my shower door was full of mold and cracking. I was unable to find an exact replacement until I came across this item, which fits perfectly in the metal channel at the bottom of the door.It was a little tough to cut it cleanly to fit, and it took me a couple of tries to get the length just right so that it didn't prevent the door from shutting completely, but it's now in place and doing its job.I did not add any caulking along the edge of the drip rail where it contacts the bottom of the shower door - the previous one that was installed by the builder had caulking along the entire length, and I suspect that's what led to the mold buildup since it ended up just causing water to get trapped into little crevices. After many months of use, I can confirm it does not need to be caulked, it works just fine to divert the water and remains firmly in place.The only caulking I added was a small drop of clear silicon at the outside edge of the water channel to prevent water from dripping onto the floor when opening the door, which of course the builders did not do on the original drip rail. Although not perfect, it helps prevent most of the water from dripping onto the floor when I open the door after a shower.

It was the only thing that works for our shower door. Don’t have any idea about its durability because I install that 2 weeks ago.But our problem is resolved.

This is made of two separate pieces, a semi-rigid plastic “deflector” and a flexible vinyl sweep that drags along the shower threshold. You can see this in the product diagrams. I didn’t realize this until I had it in hand. I really only needed the flexible vinyl piece that had torn from the friction of dragging across the shower opening.I went ahead and replaced both pieces since I had purchased it, and the old one was nasty. To cut it I used a set of ratcheting PVC pipe cutters and that easily gave a smooth clean cut.

Great product, very expensive. Really had no choice this was the only one I could find to fit my shower door.

Good value but didn’t fit off the shelf. I had to trim one end with shears.
