Depends on the quality of your well, may be worth having it tested to make sure you get the right size. Also may be good to have a filter in front of the softener.

Q: does this system timer etc need an enclosure from the elements ?

I already had a cement slap and covered area added on to the back of my shed. I did add a temp wall enclosure until I can build permanent walls. Not sure if it’s necessary but I want this system to last.

Q: I have received a bag of Ion exchange resin along with the water softener, The tank already has resin in it, do I need to add the extra resin ?

The tank comes preloaded with gravel. You must add all the resin it came with.

Q: Can I plumb the discharge/waste line to my garden or will the discharge water damage my plants?
