It is great that these are non toxic and it is nice that there is a large variety of colors included. However, they have a strong unpleasant odor and the jars of pigment are tiny, only an inch in diameter. Since a lot of face paint designs require the whole face to be painted white it is hard to use a sponge in these tiny jars and therefore it takes a long time to cover the whole face.

definitely has a smell. but safer than the typical face paints. colors not as vivid as typical face paint, but worked for us for halloween with small children.

Great stuff to paint kids faces

Been using these for years. In my experience, there is NO odor that another reviewer mentioned. As for applying product, use good applicator tools (I highly recommend Eco Tools) not what is provided in kit. Don't be afraid to use a makeup spatula or wood popsicle stick to scoop makeup out onto a plate for easier sponge application and for mixing. Colors are vibrant. The red is more like a brick color since they don't use squashed bug color that is used to achieve red in cosmetics. I have had my makeup last for hours and my skin feels great during and after use.
