Q: What alloy is this made out of? I'm allergic to certain metals (namely nickel) and need to know if this will cause a reaction

In the description the piece is listed as a metal alloy which means it is made with a combination of copper, nickel, zinc and/or silver. If you are highly allergic are known to have an immediate reaction I would not recommend this. If you experience a reaction only after hours or days of wear (which my daughter is) then you can safely wear this for a day. If you want, you can always paint the backside of the necklace with clear nail polish. It acts as a barrier between your skin and the metal. I think the earring posts may be stainless steel because my daughter was able to wear them for several hours with no problem, but I didn't see a detailed description.
