It covers a little bit of everything, thus is a great primer!

It wasn't as in depth as another book I purchased but covers all basics and gives a good amount of information. Ive referred to this book multiple times already owning cattle. Overall was a good book purchase.

I gave this as a gift to a young man fulfilling a life long dream yo add cattle to his farming operation. He loves it, telling me it has proven his favorite gift this past Christmas. He has some cows and a bull now, so I believe he has a "handbook" to help--along with fellow cattle men, family, and his local Ag Extension folk. It takes a village, you know!

Amazing book. Was bought as a gift. Recipient loves the book and says it is full of information, easy to read and information is easy to understand. Well worth the purchase.

Ideal book for getting a better idea on how to better your knowledge with cattle for the inexperienced to beginner, diagrams on calving very useful and explanation on selection of breeding well worth reading. Downside is that you have to be aware the knowledge is about cattle farming in America so if your in the UK I’d avoid trying the remedies and always call the vet, positively the author does say to get set up with a good vet for your cattle.
